Senate voted to table (kill) Rand's amendment by a 86-13 vote. Here's the roll call vote:

I think Rand should call them out.. telling the people that the Senate wants our roads, bridges, electrical grid and etc etc to fall apart and to not create any jobs with infrastructure related jobs AND to cut from elsewhere to fund it.

I like the part about not sending foreign aid. I like the part about government following it's own laws. I don't like the part about giving tax dollars to Detroit or even tax dollars for bridges, for that matter. That should all be local. Federally aiding Detroit sets a bad precedent and it will come back to haunt Rand in the future. He could have gotten his point across without invoking detroit.
