new 60 second Ron Paul commercial :

I'm Ron Paul and I'm the only presidential candidate who endorsed Ronald Reagan in 1976. after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 a multinational force was placed there to help bring peace. in October of 83, in a devastating terrorist attack, 241 American servicemen were killed. within four months president Reagan had withdrawn all U.S. troops. as he recalled in his memoirs, (graphic with Ronald Reagan underneath, Ron Paul voice over) “I said I would never turn tail and run.”,“But I never realized the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics,” Today we need the courage of Ronald Reagan, I'm the only candidate for president who will put America and our people first. we must stop sacrificing our young men for the interests of foreign nations.

I'm Ron Paul and I approve this message.

The campaign is too stupid to make up a commercial this good.

There's nothing more annoying than misleading thread titles.

Edit: And people who refer to the campaign as "stupid"

What's misleading about it?
And agreed with the second.

It's not a new Ron Paul commercial. It's an idea for a new Ron Paul commercial.

QFT.

Not trying to start a flame war, but the ads from the official campaign, and their strategy in general, has been very disappointing.

Do I have a better idea of what they should be doing? Sure, check this out (http://www.nolanchart.com/article274.html).

Here is my attempt at Ron Paul + Ronald Reagan + War video. No fancy pictures or anything.
It came out crappy, maybe someone can use some of the audio from it or something.

It is worth noting that RP argued and voted against sending the Marines into Lebanon during his first stint in Congress.

Good job, I like it!

I'd give a standing ovation every time I saw an official commercial like that or the one suggested by the OP. We need the 33% (or more, especially in several early primary states) of Republicans who are against this war to see such a television spot, especially when it references Ronald Reagan so strongly and positively.

Maybe if the campaign actually came here daily for ideas, they could be much more creative with their ads. We have the ideas to win, someone just have to pick them up and run with them.

You'd have to choose the right place to run a commercial like that.

For a lot of young or independent voters, invoking the name of Ronald Reagan will have no effect.
