I can't believe that dems, most of whom profess to care about nature and the environment, could support the massive immigration occurring into the USA. At current rates, the USA will have a population of 1 billion by the year 2100. Don't the dems realize what 600 million additional people will do to the USA? Every last wild place paved over and turned to strip malls, tattoo parlors, and pawn shops? I don't get it. You would think liberal eco-nuts would be defecting from the democrats in droves over the dems push for unchecked immigration. Especially considering you are not really adding more people but changing the status of some who are already here. The "amnesty" would likely cover about 3-5 million vs a total current population of 330 million. The "600 million additional people" are not going to be illegal aliens- as the post attempts to portray- though a very small portion will be.

There was a time when the Sierra Club was against over-population for environmental reasons. That was changed when other agendas took over.
