fghan war now more unpopular with Americans than the Iraq war ever was By Max Fisher (http://www.washingtonpost.com/max-fisher/2012/10/10/9d0a891e-12e7-11e2-a16b-2c110031514a_page.html), Published: July 26 at 10:09 am

The proportion of Americans who say the war in Afghanistan has been worth fighting has dropped to 28 percent, according to a new Washington Post/ABC poll (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/many-americans-say-afghan-war-isnt-worth-fighting/2013/07/25/d0447d44-f559-11e2-aa2e-4088616498b4_story.html). This is the lowest support for the Afghan war ever recorded in the poll – and even lower than the Iraq war ever scored on the same question. A full two-thirds, 67 percent, say that the Afghan war has not been worth fighting.

Support began falling in late 2011 and early 2012, when a string of high-profile incidents gave the appearance of a war spinning badly out of control. In January 2012, a video surfaced showing Marines urinating on dead Afghan insurgents. The next month, NATO troops mistakenly burned several Korans, setting off nationwide riots and more “green on blue” killings. The month after that, a U.S. soldier named Robert Bales wandered off base and into a nearby village, where he killed 16 civilians, nine of them children.

The drop in support crosses political lines, although it’s been most pronounced among Republicans, who only three years ago supported the war by 69 percent to 29 percent opposed. Now, 51 percent say they oppose the war, a slight majority although still less than Democrats (74 percent oppose) or independents (71 percent).

Brother will kill brother spilling blood across the land
Killing for religion something I don't understand
And fools like me, who cross the sea and come to foreign lands
Ask the sheep, for their beliefs do you kill on God's command?

A country that's divided surely will not stand
My past erased, no more disgrace foolish naive stand
The end is near, it's crystal clear part of the master plan
Don't look now to Israel it might be your homelands

Holy wars

Upon my podium, as the know it all scholar
Down in my seat of judgment Gavel's bang, uphold the law
Up on my soapbox, a leader out to change the world
Down in my pulpit as the holier than-thou-could-be-messenger of God

Wage the war on organized crime
Sneak attacks, repel down the rocks behind the lines
Some people risk to employ me some people live to destroy me
Either way they die, they die

They killed my wife and my baby, with hopes to enslave me
First mistake last mistake paid by the alliance, to slay all the giants
Next mistake no more mistakes

Fill the cracks in, with judicial granite
Because I don't say it, don't mean I ain't thinkin' it
Next thing you know, they'll take my thoughts away
I know what I said, now I must scream of the overdose
And the lack of mercy killings, mercy killings, mercy killings
Killings killings killings
Next thing you know, they'll take my thoughts away.

You know what that means. The political class will now extend the 2024 withdrawal date to 2034 or longer. Because whatever we want and we say, they do the opposite, just to remind us mundanes who's boss.

I wish the collapse would come (http://www.lewrockwell.com/2013/07/gary-north/the-surveillance-state-is-doomed/) already.

Who gives a shit what the 'muricans think about the wars? Really? It's all bullshit. Oh, you getting tired of this 10+ year war? Well, I bet there are some brown people that could help you get your head our of your ass by just showing a few pictures of family they used to have in one piece but now take care of them since they no longer have arms and legs if they are alive anymore. They, the brown people, could give a shit whether you are getting tired of your wars, just GTFO.

To br fair, not all supporters of foreign wars and militant interventions are racists or racially motivated.. though some may be.

But timing of these polls is bit suspicious as US/UK have already sped up exit from Afghanistan ahead of schedule after mounting insider attacks had mostly crippled freedom operations there and so called "peace talks" missions with Talibans have not worked. Minsitery of truth probably wants this ahead of schedule exit to be seen due to "public opinion".

I didn't use the race card, I used the "'muricans are soulless" card, "Collateral damage" is acceptable card, "It's not me, so who gives a fuck" card.

You are right, you did not.
Just relized I accidentally used race card by too narrowly interprettng our disregard for foreign people killed due to our interventions.

I'm sure they'll find a bunch of white people to massacre for profit after they can't milk the mideast anymore. The Russians are getting wealthier and more defiant towards the Western regimes...sounds like that would be a fun war. :(
