Wow. Radio stations are cheap. 100K for one in Alabama. But the FCC wants its bigass cut.

Disappointed in the Audio Video. Adam vs The Man is clearer. Keeps breaking up; loss of audio.

A good point G. Edward Griffin made is to open people's eyes slowly but surely. Don't overwhelm them with too much information at once.

So what exactly is going on with this project now that the Kickstarter goal was not reached? I heard a couple days ago he raised some money for about four episodes of his show, but is that it? What exactly is launching if there is not enough money to produce lots of episodes? I'm at work, can't watch the stream, so please tell us what happened.

Where is everyone? Have roughly ~275 people for the last few hours. That's really all we can muster?

"Isn't this the Daily Mirror phone tapping guy on CNN that gets fifteen viewers a night?"

Suryafish's webcam was better than this camera guy. No offense.

About a week ago, knowing they would not hit the Kickstarter target, Ben and his team sent out messages to either cancel your kickstarter pledge and donate by Paypal or by check. As of tonight, they now accept donations by Bitcoin. As of right now, over $100,000 has been raised by Paypal alone. I believe this is enough to produce about 20 episodes from their goal of over 100 with Kickstarter. The project is on but still needs tremendous financial support to implement their other plans and fund more episodes and reach new medias.

Hopefully Ben Swann puts up a tube for people who might have missed it.

One of the best speeches I've heard.. and I've heard a lot.

The camera work is shitty, but it doesn't even matter.

Ben Swann is killing it. If you aren't tuned in, tune in.

ETA: And for God's sake let's keep this funded.

This is a chance for true change, true awakening, and true education.

Glenn Beck gets what, 90 million a year? A damn disgrace all things considered.

I concur. Ben is a very effective speaker and a real asset to the liberty movement. I just hope people don't take him for granted.

I like the idea of crowd sourcing ideas (we do some of that here), but I would like to brainstorm with some people about ideas on how to do that. That is, software and process solutions to do it. How to prevent trolling, personal attack sessions, good ideas getting lost/hidden (some ideas don't appear so good until further discussion and problems becoming surfaced), etc...

Ben Swann really did a good job up there. He has some star qualities.

Wouldn't this whole process be easier, though, if there was some sort of businessperson with money involved with this? Those people get together and start a production company to make the show, put it on tv where it makes a profit for the businesspeople involved? If the budgets are going to be that big, and it might be shown on a 60 station affilliate group, it might be logical to think that businesspeople with money, and even experience in the area might be just the thing.

If this isn't going on tv, it doesn't really need that same kind of production quality, and it shouldn't cost that much. People can figure out how to cut costs. I guess what I'm saying is that 1) big budget tv production, on tv, with businesspeople, makes sense. 2) lower budget web production funded by kickstarter makes sense. 3) big budget tv production funded by kickstarter doesn't really make as much sense.

Ben is great but there are also other liberty media people out there trying do their own thing. I've always wished for some magic way to herd these individualists together so they could cooperate and build something big. They are all spending a lot of money on their own projects.

I just got home 30 minutes ago. I left at 4PM to attend the VIP Dinner. Then got to the event just after it started. We didn't leave the Draft until 11:30ish and there were still people there. So many speeches. I met so many people including a couple of the posters on this forum.

Ben Swann gave by far the best speech at the event. Carla, the President of the Free State Project, gave the 2nd best speech. There was a 10 minute break so that the music could be set-up. I was wondering what was happening on the stream during that time. I guess not very much :(

From the looks of things, some of the people in the audience might have taken better video than the stream. Look for cool YouTube videos to come out of this. Also, sorry folks if the stream wasn't amazing but people did come from other states, such as OH and NJ to attend this event. 4+ hours of cool stuff for $15, with some of the money going to help kids go to private schools. That's a fantastic deal!

Just got back a couple of hours ago. It was SRO. Venue maybe not the best for streaming, but Andy Sanborn, owner of The Draft, was willing to let us use it. Intimate setting for lots of liberty lovers and freestaters. There were enough people there that I had to park a quarter mile away at a Market Basket.
Afterwards, Ben took the time for anyone wishing to talk with him.
I should have gone to sleep over an hour ago; but I got this big Dunkin' Donuts mocha to keep me awake driving home and now I'm paying for it.

True. For example, Dave Ridley or the Ridley Report used to also work for a local TV station. He decided to try making it on his own as a reporter and investigative journalist. He is still doing his thing so it seems to have worked for him. If you like Dave's work, consider buying ads on his program. BTW, I mention him because he is a forum member. http://www.youtube.com/ridleyreport I was hoping to see Dave at Ben's event but he wasn't there.

Maybe Ben Swann and Ron Paul can work together on their media projects?

There is also NextNewsNetwork. It's not going strong. From time to time it stops. It is still limping along though. http://nextnewsnetwork.com/

LRN.FM is still happening. However, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be happening without generous donations by the founder. Plus, it's more about commentary then journalism or reporting. http://lrn.fm/

Here is Ben last night.

Doesn't Ben Swann himself know a decent cameraman besides the guy running the webcam that could tape everything for us from last night? I want to see it, but more importantly, I want this event to have been recorded well for youtube and the like.

Lol. I think the live stream is the version that was taped for us. Maybe that was part of the point, idk. Ben seems, more than almost anyone in the liberty movement, interested in producing very high quality videos. But that costs money. The guy from Chicago spent several minutes explaining that at the event. Maybe use this as a reason to donate to Ben? Starting yesterday, he now takes bitcoin. http://benswann.com/

This best quality video taken at the event might be this low quality video. Here is Free State Project (http://freestateproject.org/fsn10) President, Carla Gericke's speech.

Yep you listed many of what I would use as an example. There are also other podcasters and youtubers that could contribute as well.

I guess what we're missing is a very rich boss to hire and fire and manage the dream.

You gotta admit Julie Borowski would make a great news anchor. She already has the required speech "patterns".

Eric Brakey, who was the State Director of the Ron Paul campaign for the Maine Convention that we won, announced he was running for State Senate at this event.
