Yeah, this is very bad. Down 6 to Christie, and down 12(?!?) to Clinton? Ugh.

This poll is a PERFECT demonstration of why both Rand and Cruz cannot run. Combined they're a frontrunner nationally, apart they dont even break 10%

This doesn't really conform with PPP's polls at all. If Rand is ahead in so many state polls then his national numbers in PPP's next poll are going to be higher than this.

well rand could be leading in montana by 2 and trailing in new york by 99 zillion points, so there's your discrepancy.

rand left an opening for cruz by trying to endear himself to moderates and liberals with all the immigration im not racist talk.

should've just been himself rather than listening to consultants.

now cruz is winning over the right and the moderates will never let rand in their club.

It's very obvious whatever methodology Marist uses captures a wider swath of people than what PPP uses. Far more casual observers of politics are going to have heard more of Christie, Ryan, and Rubio, while in conservative circles their names have been falling. Whether these people will actually show up to Republican primaries remains to be seen, but almost assuredly they will learn more about the candidates before then. Both polls provide meaningful data, but I suspect PPP's will be more predictive of the primaries, far out as they may be.

National polls mean nothing. Those first three primaries mean everything. After that National polls will come around. I really really hope Rand and cruz do not get into a slugfest and alienate each others voters.

PPP: "Ted Cruz is polling in double digits and ahead of Marco Rubio on our new national GOP poll, out tomorrow"

Did Rand maintain his lead over Ted? Dun dun duuuun.

safe assumption or they would've thrown that in there for the buzz.

National polls are pretty much meaningless especially at this point when nobody is officially running. The early states are all that really matter and the momentum from victory in those states can carry you the rest of the way.

if the poll wasn't done in proportion to amount of delegates then it's meaningless..

90% of establishment supporters can move to nyc and california and it won't matter
