EDIT: Nevermind.. Shotgun News it is! One Issue! Full page, B&W.

a link to the ad is in my signature.

Field & Stream wants $94,000 for a full page B&W ad.

so thats probably out of the question.

couple good deals I found..

American Handgunner
$5,073 for a full page, B&W

and Shotgun News.. released 3x per month, with "perfect bound" copies every few months, one of which is 1/20.

one full page, B&W, in one issue is $1,586. However, if you get it in 3 issues, which would be for one full month, it would be $1483 per issue, or $4,449 for the whole month.

A lot of dealers get shotgun news.

There is a 40 day advance buy for the perfect bound issues.. so if we raise the money by December 10th, we can get an ad in the January 20th, and the following two issues.

What do you think?

EDIT: Okay, we'll do one issue of Shotgun news, one full B&W page.

I'd say go with the single issue shotgun news. After the first or second issue, pretty much every gun owner will know who he is. It will be much easier to raise $1500 than $4500. If you manage to raise $4500 though.....

If you do 3 ads, make sure they are all slightly different. Use them to communicate issues.

Do you happen to have the circulation #s for these magazines?

Get it into the Shotgun News ASAP (don't wait for one of the perfect bound issues)! The Shotgun News is an awesome publication read by many, many gun owners and pro-2nd Amendment folks.

Seconded for the Shotgun news.

It definitely couldn't hurt to try to get $4500, I'm just saying that it's not critical. If RP gets the nomination quickly the rest of the ads are pretty much a waste.

I recommend Shotgun News too.

People that subscribe to this magazine take the 2nd Amendment very seriously.

auctionarms.com an online gun auction may be a good idea too.

Field and Stream would be less cost effective me thinks.

Instead of saying he has received more money from the "military", don't you think we should be saying, "men and women in the military" or something like that? I mean, the military, as an organization, hasn't been donating.

I also think the fonts in this ad and maybe also the layout, could use some work. You might ask Linda Laguna in New Hampshire, if she'd be willing to take a stab at it.
