The Prime Minister is to outline plans for every UK internet user to be asked whether they want access to pornography.

Every internet user in the country will be asked whether they want to have access to pornography, David Cameron will say, as he warns that hardcore images are “corroding childhood”.

A joint British and American “task force” will be created to tackle obscene websites, while Google and other search engine providers will be required to draw up a “blacklist” of the most depraved and illegal search terms, the Prime Minister will announce.

This has been a Daily Mail campaign for quite some time IIRC:

This frequently is on their front page with specious studies, phycologists and parents speaking out,

so if you ask to be able to view pornography you get put onto a list of potential child predators
I think the .xxx domain would be reasonable. You can have your ISP block all .xxx domain sites or something so your child can't stumble upon porn. Though good luck getting millions of porn sites to switch to .xxx Oh yeah, and there's also the fact the UK doesn't own the internet.

Daily Fail will be poppping champagne corks tonight. Idiots want restrictions on free speech and so they will get them.

They will spin this as a massive victory and move on to something else like banning cheap alcohol.
