Watch the Event of the Year

The Mises Institute’s week-long Mises University summer program is what made me an Austrian 20 years ago. Now you can watch it from the comfort of your own home. Watch the events live on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/misesmedia), beginning with my opening talk tonight at 8:15pm ET (with introductions by Mark Thornton at 8pm).

Or, for a more intense learning experience, sign up for virtual Mises U (http://academy.mises.org/courses/virtualmu/) and get all the materials — reading, slides, a discussion forum, etc. — the attendees get.

Either way, please join us!

Here is the Opening Lecture by Tom Woods: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DStLhWMRERM

Thanks. Great speech.

Are they going to be broadcasting them live all week?

Woods is just on fire theses days. Maybe his best speech yet.

I especially liked the bit at the end, and it addresses a knock I've seen from the shills/hitmen on libertarians forums. If Mises and Rothbard were so great, why did they have such lowly teaching positions? Woods annihilated it.

Will these be posted at Mises for viewing? There is no way I can watch them live.

Great speech by Tom.

Is there more coming today? If yes, when does it continue? I was a little bit distracted to the end. And would that also be on the same stream?

Also, by looking at the schedule I'm very glad that this seems to be pretty deep and very scholarly. I don't particulary like the more polemic, superficial videos. I've already seen lectures about many subjects, often by the very same economists. That's only more reason to watch it, though, since I recall them to be among the best on the misesmedia-channel and a little refresher course can't hurt. I'm especially looking forward to Roger Garrison's, David Gordon's and Bob Murphy's topics.

Judge Napolitano on Tuesday at 4:00PM central. Hopefully this thread stays bumped.

Bump for updated OP. And ...

Are they going to be broadcasting them live all week?

Yes, they are. I've updated the OP with a table of all the live streams, with dates, times & links to the live streams.

I've also included a schedule of each day's lectures, so you can get an idea of what will be available each day, and at what time.

Will these be posted at Mises for viewing? There is no way I can watch them live.

Yes. Eventually they will be. After Mises U is over, they'll gradually be putting them up on the Mises Institute YouTube channel, one by one ...

Is there more coming today? If yes, when does it continue?

Nothing else is on the schedule for today. I've updated the OP with the schedule for the remainder of the week, though.

And would that also be on the same stream?

Apparently, there will be different streams for each "session" (two or more per day, except Saturday).

The OP has been updated with the links for all the streamed sessions (as given at LvMI's youtube channel).

I'm especially looking forward to Roger Garrison's, David Gordon's and Bob Murphy's topics.

I have always especially enjoyed Joe Salerno's lectures.

That's the same source I used for the schedules in the OP.

If anyone notices an error or omission, please let me know and I will correct the OP.

Judge Napolitano on Tuesday at 4:00PM central. Hopefully this thread stays bumped.

Sadly, Judge Napolitano's four Constitutional Law lectures will NOT be streamed. I don't know if they'll be recorded & made available later. I hope so!

(I don't know if his Tuesday lecture on Basic Constitutional Jurisprudence will be streamed/recorded or not.)

I was just quickly scanning thread titles and clicked through when I thought one said: "Miss Universe 2013"

When you come to think about it, this would get 100 times move viewership if the lectures were given by hot co-eds in bikinis...

Bummer that the Judge's lectures won't be streamed. Those were the ones I really wanted to watch.

Besides Tom Woods' opening lecture (included in the OP), LvMI has posted two more lectures from Mises University 2013.
There should still be more videos from MU 2013 coming - I'll try to keep this thread updated as they come out.
