Rand is within the margin of error for 1st, a far cry from the last 2012 PPP poll I saw before the Iowa caucuses which had Gingrich at 41% and Ron Paul at 6%.
Jeb Bush 16% (+2%)
Chris Christie 16% (+1%)
Rand Paul 15% (+5%)
Marco Rubio 12% (-5%)
Paul Ryan 11% (+3%)
Ted Cruz 9% (+1%)
Bob McDonnell 8% (-4%)
Bobby Jindal 4% (+1%)
Rick Santorum 2%

Nice. I read the title as "Rand Paul at 1%" and was like wtf. This is much better. Too bad that whackobird santorum is still getting 2%. Can't wait till he's at zero.

Careful with that word "wackobird." That's a word of great honor.

I think it is safe to say that at least 50% of Ted Cruz's support will go to Rand Paul.. so it is safe to say that Rand is definitely top 2 no matter what.
I like how polls put Ted Cruz in there just to water down Rand's support hehehe. I bet the higher ups are panicking now.
They will try to dig some dirt on Rand's wife, kids and will definitely use Ron's "racism" against Rand.

Huh. And here I've been told for months that it doesn't matter what I think about him because I'm statistically irrelevant.
Statistically irrelevant anywhere but in Virginia.

Yeah. Your vote will probably end up in a ditch or shredded before it gets counted. Hehehe.

He's 1st place in trajectory (the +5%). That's extremely important and amazing.

Rand needs to campaign in newyork/california/florida a lot more in pre-election times to get more well known.

Same reason 130 million people voted for either Obama or Romney. Media.

It's pretty scary that Jeb Bush and Chris Christie have that much support in these polls. Apparently Republican voters like boring, moderate, establishment candidates.

It's Virginia, a state which is now much more Atlantic coastal than southern. I say another secession is due for the state. Interestingly, blame Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War for Virginia. If it were just Virginia (including West Virginia), it would be a solid red state.
