My pastor is gathering information in order to make a decision about which candidate he will support in the upcoming election. I have already given him:

He asked to meet with me tomorrow for lunch to discuss why Ron Paul should be our next president. He gave me a sheet of paper that says:

Please help me fill out the list with what you look forward to accomplishing with President Ron Paul.

I'll start with the first answer:

1. ...rescue the social security trust fund for all people who are dependent on it. He will accomplish this by saving $500 billion to $1 trillion that we currently spend on protecting other countries' borders. He will allow young people to opt out of social security and restore their right to be responsible for providing for their own retirement.

What do you say?

Help veterans.

A Paul Presidency will:
Reform the VA.
Give employers a tax credit for hiring veterans.
Narrow the pay gap that exists between military and
private sector pay scales.
Restore health care coverage to retired service
members.
Allow veterans to receive both disability and
retirement pay.
Establish a House Select Committee on POW and
MIA Affairs.
End the requirement that disabled veterans give up
their military retirement pay in order to receive VA
disability benefits.


According to some statistics, about one-third of all adult homeless have served in the armed forces. That's unacceptable.

At least attempt to destroy the two largest threats to our economy. The IRS and the Fed.

Restore the 10th amendment.

Restore habeas corpus.

All this among other things. Theoretically if Paul is elected, there would be a surreal moment before he took office. Then it would proceed with Paul fighting Congress and the rest of the Washington beaureucrats. Sadly, I don't think he can do shit until we also overhaul Congress with honest PAULiticians. O well, its the principle of the matter.

Just what I was looking for; excellent response Micah! One of the things Reagan did so well was to paint a positive picture for the future. I think this could be the start of a very positive thread for the Ron Paul Revolution!
