I put forth that had the state wanted a conviction against Zimmerman, they could have easily obtained one.
Therefore, the State of Florida did NOT want Zimmerman convicted.
Why?
Is it a punt to the Federal Courts?
Were they, have they, sowed more racial divide?
Are they hoping for street justice?
Were they hoping for mob violence?

My POV is that they were protecting the police shennanigans that changed witness statements, etc at the beginning. PLUS protecting Zimmerman, who should have been held in custody from the beginning, because of his father's status as a judge.

If Zimmerman had been held and then released on bail, I do not think the outrage would have grown into what we now have.

There simply was no evidence. None. All they had was that illiterate girl with a history of lying under oath. There was nothing else but emotional appeals and talk of skittles.

And believe me those prosecutors wanted a conviction. This was a career case for that prick De La Rionda and he ended up looking completely incompetent in front of the whole country.
