Some of you know me, others do not. I am a long time Liberty activist from Tarrant County Texas. I have been a active member of these forums for years. I decided to run for State Representative in Texas in 2012 and we won! It was an amazing experience and we won against all odds. I can firmly say we stood strong on principles and took a lot of tough votes in the process. Now we are enjoying massive success and acknowledgement from many different groups and expanding my base of supporters while educating the public on our beliefs.
A lot of candidates come here and fleece for money and support, I have never ever done it, nor do I plan on ever doing it. I raised the money needed for my campaign through personal relationships and grassroots locally. We are hosting a Defend Texas Liberty Moneybomb on July 29th. A little bird told me those of you in Texas may be hearing from Dr. Paul about it shortly which is AWESOME!
What I am asking for you all personally is symbolic in nature. Can the Paul movement I was born from show support for someone who does what he said he would do? My hope is that everyone who can, pledge $5 dollars (or less) to add their name to my next finance report and then on July 29th make the donation with everyone else. As you know the success of a moneybomb is always about momentum and wide support. Your small symbolic pledge/donation I know will push my local sources to do more and bring my average donation number down further. They are all new to this concept and excited by it already!
All donations are being matched dollar for dollar on this day by a conservative group here in Texas who I rank as their #1 conservative on the scorecard they publish.
Quite a bit has been pledged already by my supporters here in Texas. Again I am hoping folks like yourself participating with a small pledge/donation of $5 (or less) will send a different statement than financially - what I fight for on the floor of the Texas House is bigger than me and frankly it is a national movement that demands attention by the GOP.
Because I am one of you at heart the first thing we did when organizing this moneybomb was put together a video about the event.
