Sen. Marco Rubio’s popularity has plummeted among tea party activists who say the Florida Republican, who helped ignite their movement with his 2010 Senate bid, has failed to live up to the hype — and made a major wrong turn by joining Sen. John McCain’s push to legalize illegal immigrants.

Conservatives at the rally booed the mere mention of Sen. Marco Rubio's name. The Florida Republican was once a tea party favorite, but protesters said he has lost his appeal because he helped draft the Senate's bipartisan immigration proposal.

"He has gotten used by the establishment Republicans because he is Hispanic to go out and do their dirty work, and I likely cannot support him if he ran for president now," says Ronald King, a 44-year-old North Carolina voter.

So he will not be reelected?

He doesn't need conservative support to get reelected. He has the full backing of the establishment now.

So he will get re-elected to Senate even if Tea Party/Conservatives voted against him?
With whose votes he will win,of democrats? That was the question I guess.

He'll be vulnerable if the Democrats put up a good candidate, but odds are they won't. Last time around, Kendrick Meek won over 50% of the vote in the Democratic Primary. The Democratic Party of Florida is mostly made up of blacks and Jews and though the Jews obviously punch way above their weight, the blacks have a huge numerical advantage. If a black gets nominated, the Senate race becomes Hispanic vs Black and in Florida, the Hispanics win that match up easy.

Yeah, he's in hot water. A big hot tub, with McCain, Graham, Ayotte, Flake, Kristol and who knows who else.
