Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald says he has spoken to leaker Edward Snowden from Russia and he will likely take Venezuela’s offer of asylum, according to a report on Wednesday.

Greenwald told Reuters (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/07/10/us-usa-security-snowden-greenwald-idUSBRE96901G20130710) after speaking with Snowden on Tuesday that of the three countries that have offered Snowden asylum, Venezuela is better positioned “to get him safely from Moscow to Latin America and to protect him once he’s there,” Greenwald said. “They’re a bigger country, a stronger country and a richer country with more leverage in international affairs.”

Probably not? It's the most obvious thing though. Who knows.

Decoy?

It probably means he's already there or safely en route.

wish another country was possible just for the narrative's sake. This is going to get spun. For his sake, I hope he takes what ever offer makes him the safest. Including Venezuela.

I bet he's not going to Venezuela at all and never planned to.

sure, i doubt it will be passenger liner quality, but i don't see why he couldn't buy passage with some pirates.

I don't know, I think he could dress in drag and pose as Kathie Lee Gifford.

Hope I didn't blow his cover....
