(CNSNews.com) -- Eighty percent of Muslim Americans approve of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president, according to a newly released survey conducted by the Abu Dhabi Gallup Center, a partnership between Gallup and the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.

According to the survey, 65 percent of Jewish Americans approve of the job Obama is doing; 60 percent of atheists, agnostics, and those of no religion approve; 50 percent of Catholics approve; 37 percent of Protestants approve and 25 percent of Mormons approve.

I wouldn't say that. Just that his support for Muslims didn't really fail - at least not here in the US.

White people were the most likely to support Bush, especially evangelical whites. Mormons were most likely to support Romney etc...

I wouldn't say that. Just that his support for Muslims didn't really fail - at least not here in the US.

Some would call them white, some probably wouldn't. I've seen Arabs whiter than those Jersey Shore Italians and I've seen Arabs darker than Will Smith so I guess it depends.

A Pew Research survey released on Wednesday showed that President Barack Obama’s popularity has reached record lows among Muslims.
The Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes survey (http://www.pewglobal.org/2012/06/13/global-opinion-of-obama-slips-international-policies-faulted/) found the approval of Obama’s policies in Muslim-majority countries plummeted from an average 34 percent to 15 percent.

Depends. In 2003, 80% of American muslims (as well as jews and black christians by similar ratio) saw Iraq invasion as a bad move for America and about 80% of White Christian Americans saw Iraq invasion as a good move. Intelligence is in the eyes of the beholder.

Not really. Most of the world is badly uninformed. Most Canadians, Europeans and Australians, for example, think Obama is a great president. Because that's what their news tells them.

You're misreading the thread title. It's not that Muslim support for Obama has fallen or "failed" but that Obama "failed" in his lame attempt at pandering to Muslims in that someone quickly slammed back on his tweet that his treatment of Muslims (and other people for that matter) leaves a lot to be desired.
