There was a post on this online poll but titles did not mention that you cannot see Ron Paul if you use Firefox!

Look for yourself.

The Firefox mishap is just a result of the page being exclusively designed for Internet Explorer...the fact that the text ends up overlapping Ron Paul's name is just a coincidence.

Or is it?

Probably.

you're right, I can't even vote for Ron Paul using firefox, it keeps going to that presidential race page. Doesn't look like it's holding back many votes though, he's clearly in the lead.

This poll has been going on for a week or so. Its hard to imagine 4000 people voting and no one emailing the webmaster telling them the problem.... I am probably going to do that now just to see what they say.

It just isn't firefox friendly. I was able to vote using IE, not sure how Opera would work.

Works fine in Opera.

My question is why does it say Clinton and Giuliani are leading when they clearly aren't?

We should keep a list of these unfortunate so-called coincidences. They never seem to happen to other candidates.

wow Huckabee isn't even listed. That's surprising.

I am on a MAC with Leopard and the latest version of Firefox. The grey text is actually layered behind the poll. Probably just a coincidence but who cares?

Certain things appear differently in different browsers. I don't believe the webmaster did this intentionally.

Please bury the digg article. I have experience in web development and I can tell you that the article is ridiculous.

Sheesh, no kidding.

Interestingly, it actually shows up over Romney's name for me.

This is no big deal. I have a few websites that look funny in Fire Fox and not IE. This is not uncommon at all.

I found a way to get past the text. Click on another candidate's box and press the arrows on your keyboard to get to ron paul's name.

That happens in every poll. If RP is leading there is clearly a problem. Better exclude him since the results are so obviously skewed.

Amistad - I also have web design experience but am not an expert. I havent had time to figure out the code on that page and what exactly is wrong. I stated on the article that myself and other web designers dont think it is deliberate and even suggested what you and others have said.

But I dont think the article is "ridiculous" and a web design should never have parts of the page show over other parts of the page obstructing view significantly or compeltely. None of their other pages do this, why this one?

I made the article because at the time RP was losing this poll and this poll was being used as proof of his loss of support by both the people that made this poll and other websites.

And I will post an addition showing that the other candidates are being affected. I guess its obvious me and all my friends are on 17 or 19" monitors....

Just press <CNTRL>+ to change the size of the font and the text will move to another spot so you can click on it.

RP is still winning by a landslide 39%!

It looks like you are not loading the square ad that I see. I see a bed ad from doubleclick. Are you blocking ads with Norton or something?

I have a theory on whats going on. They didnt do a hard return after the image and the next thing is allowed to float in Firefox. The next thing are those two hyperlinks. They float over into the survey.

Whatever, I am not going to beat a dead horse. Get out there and hand stuff out, talk to people, and have fun!
