Independence Day suggestion.

We are witnessing perilous times in these united states of America. Our liberties teeter on the knife's edge as never before and the time is nigh upon us to act in respect for and defense of our freedoms, or capitulate.

Not being much of a quitter, I do believe that on this coming fourth day of July, 2013, the people of America would do well to arm themselves in every conceivable manner - long arms, pistols, swords, bows, pikes, knives, and so forth, and venture out to your state capitols, city halls, city parks, and HAVE A PICNIC! An openly and so very conspicuously armed holiday picnic with friends, family, neighbors, and complete strangers. Boast that pistol on your hip, that rifle or shotgun on your shoulder, or perhaps a katana in a sash.

And keep it HAPPY. No loud, angry protesting. Just lots of smiling faces, good food and drink, friendship, and love of your fellows, you freedoms, and your land.

Let the local police fret all they want if they so choose. Let those sheriffs who are not honest pace about nervously. Let them all walk on eggshells around those who pay their bill and whom they ostensibly serve. Let them dare not raise a word to the least among us and let them know that on this day they have no territory upon which to trespass lest the ire of their masters fall upon their shoulders. Or, if they choose, let them join in as equals. Whatever the case, let the message to the tyrant be clear: a line has been drawn. Cross at your peril.

Have a good time. Be WITH each other. Let the elite know where you stand in no uncertain terms.

I will be out in public all day with a gun on my hip, a smile on my face, and an attitude nobody will be able to mistake. I enjoin all of you, my fellow Americans, brothers and sisters, to do the same in the largest groups you can muster. Eat, drink, be merry and keep things light, but in so doing deliver the unequivocal message that none shall trod further with hobnails upon the domain of our sacred and cherished rights.

If we do not stop this, it will stop us.

Blessings upon you all.

I plan on getting high off canna-coconut oil, smoking some brisket and making beer.

No matter what I do, I'm going to dust off the T-shirt I wear once a year on the 4th.

I do not celebrate government holy-days. But if someone's offering free food and fireworks, I'll take them up on it. :D

Drinking PBR while watching fireworks while simultaneously beating my wife while wearing a wife beater.

Not really but I am from Alabama and that type of thing seams to be expected.

It's too hot..I will be watching the lame downtown Houston fireworks show from my sofa like every year. Hard to resist fireworks choreographed to the musical stylings of Toby Keith. Showing up carrying in Houston anywhere is a good way to get shot by the local police. Even if you aren't carrying, they will say you were...after they shoot you.

Gonna read the Declaration of Independence on the town square. Might just hang out and do every hour. I'm thinking about changing some of the wording and grievances. I wonder if anyone will notice?

Party at Root's place!
Problematic, at best. Plus, the beer will need several weeks of fermentation and bottle conditioning.

Also I don't have a useable yard right now. Someday I'd love to host a party here...

Not until you posted it. Great idea! And love the link to how to print out free constitution booklets!

Every state capital should be on that list of cities. Unsurprisingly, Trenton is absent.

I still think much more is needed and I still feel openly armed picnics are a great way to go. Theye cannot even object on the basis of it being an "illegal" protest.

I think I might celebrate with a Snowden Snowcone! Whistleblower Watermelon flavor.

Pickle a watermelon with rum, freeze, and then use a ice cream scoop or melon baller to make Snowden Snowcones!
