RON PAUL: So my question should be, to all of you who defend this nonsense is, what should the penalty be for the people who destroy the constitution. They're always worrying about how they're going to destroy the American citizens who tell the truth to let us know what's going on. We ask the question, what is the penalty for the people who deliberately destroy the constitution and rationalize and say, 'we have to do it for security.'

Well, you know what Franklin said about that, you end up losing your security and you lose your freedoms too. So I think we've embarked on a very, very dangerous course. The American people are with us on this, it's totally out of control, and I would say if you're confused about what we should do, just read the constitution. What's wrong with that? If you don't like it, get people to repeal it and change the constitution, but not just to deny it.

We go to war without a declaration. We totally ignore the constitution. That is what our problem is today -- we have no rule of law, and people say, 'well, just let secret Courts do this,; and the governments to know everything, and the American people have no privacy. I mean you're -- that reflects intimidation, people are insecure, and think that we'll need more authoritarianism. You're justifying dictatorship, is what you're doing

This should be asked over and over along with some real investigation of the members of Congress sitting on the DHS committes.

Death is the proper punishment. Which is probably something Ron Paul would disagree with me on. Being a merciful person, he'd probably keep them alive. On principle, I'd give them a trial, but I am NOT merciful enough to refrain from suggesting they be sentenced to death.

I'm not a death penalty advocate. But this is simple enough. Exile. Stripped of everything and cast adrift. Death upon re-entry.

I still say he really won Iowa in the popular vote. They cheated and I think Rand knows that too. They couldn't let him be president, he is not controllable at all and had lived such a good life that they have nothing on him to blackmail or demonize him with. Their only solution was to cheat, and that is exactly what I think they did in Iowa. If he had won Iowa I think NH would have been much closer. He had a legitimate shot to be president in a fair election if he won the popular vote in Iowa. So now we are faced with the fact that our votes really don't count. No amount of changing people's minds and hearts will overcome voter fraud on election day. Politically I don't think we have a chance at changing this country, so that leaves only protest or revolt. I think everyone knows which one has the only chance to work.

bump for the question of the generation.

And that is the right question. Until we all enough of us stand up to the face of corruption, corruption will continue.

Well at least put them on trial while we decide.

and impeach them. I think the thread about the city council that tried croniest eminent domain being ousted by irate citizens sets a good example, for a start.

and I'm assuming the gallows refer to post due process....

Well, so far nobody seems to be doing anything at all to those who "destroy the constitution."

Which has to change. There has to be recourse and penalty for this.

And those who are in violation of their oaths of office need to be replaced with others who won't. That would be just the start.

I love when Ron Paul get's sarcastic! I would really enjoy if someone would make a compilation of Ron Paul being sarcastic about government! That would be awesome!

This is what the Founders did for much lesser crimes against the People:
