Vote for Mrs. Paul's Cookie Recipe!

Yankee Magazine is hosting its "first-in-the-nation cookie primary" online, and you have the opportunity to make and vote for Mrs. Paul's apricot-coconut balls cookie recipe. Vote now through December 14 at http://www.yankeemagazine.com/cookieprimary/ by selecting the photo of Ron Paul until a green checkmark appears, then click the "send my cookie vote" button.

Then on December 14, culinary students at Southern New Hampshire University will bake the cookies for a panel of judges to taste. The winner will be announced that day, based on the combined results of the online poll and the judges’ voting.

Help Mrs. Paul win by voting here-- and don't forget to try out her recipe!

Mrs. Romney's Welsh Skillet Cakes proves how far removed from everyday americans the Romneys are...

Tom Ts cookies look the best

Actually, her recipe does sound the best to me, whether I was a fan of Ron Paul or not. Gravel's recipe comes in second place. Tancredo's sounds pretty good but the title is totally deceiving and doesn't really describe what is being made at all. Richardson's sounds downright nasty-lard and wine-blech!

Mrs. Paul is the only one who writes recipe books amongst them, I think she deserves it.

As if Hillary has ever baked a cookie in her entire life.

Cindy McCain's no bake cookies?! That's PERFECT! While in her youth she may have baked cookies once or twice, you can believe that these days, she'd be hard pressed to find the kitchen, let alone the oven.

Coconut is VERY VERY good for health. Either in RAW form or Extra virgin coconut oil for smoothies.

That is good news so the movie theater 'butter' that is made from coconut oil is good for me. I'll have a large with extra butter flavor syrup.

I bet Ms. McCain probably used the little oven that works on a light bulb that little girls play with.

The only recipes that were authored solely by the candidates were by Dr Cort and Senator Clinton. (And it was a shame that Rep and Mrs Kucinich did not provide a cookie recipe. I would like to see a tasty vegan treat from them!)

I think Hellary picked chocoalte Chip cookies because that is the only cookie her chef knows how to bake!

Plus she knows they are one of Ron Paul's few "vices" - stay away from those cookies!!!

It's so good but it's so high in cholesterol.

You're thinking of saturated fat, not cholesterol. But hey, shredded coconut doesn't have THAT much oil in it compared to something cooked in coconut oil!

I know nothing about Hugh Cort except that his recipe sounds really yummy.

You know what is appropriate about Carol Paul's cookies! Just like the grassroots, they're made with an unexpected group of ingredients and they have TEXTURE and SUBSTANCE to them!

Am I the only one who feels bad for Hugh Cort's hopeless campaign?

Went to his site, he's like Brownback on steroids. Comes right out and says gayness is disgusting and blah blah blah. The site hasn't been updated in months, but apparently he hasn't given up.

Apricot-Coconut balls? Sounds exotic. ;) I actually half-expected Ron Paul's recipe of choice to be for a chocolate-chip cookie since he admits to have a weakness for it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAg7Kztnlb4).

Ron's got 95% of the vote. Too bad it lets you vote again if you delete your cookies. Which is funny. You delete cookies to vote for cookies. :D

I voted once for Ron Paul and once for Tom Tancredo, so I think that's fair.

Anyone try making ANY of these cookies? C'mon, I don't do kitchen stuff, I'm a takeout kind of person, so do it for me!

The Richardson cookies sound good to me. Cookies made with lard have fantastic texture.
