Greenwald has been doing great.

These pundits sure are stupid though. I seriously think they're just dumb. They don't understand or have any concept of what the constitution is and what is and isn't legal. They really do think that anything the federal government does, is legal. They don't grasp or comprehend the fact that the activities of the federal government have been in fact illegal and unconstitutional. Their thought process seems to be, well if the federal government is doing it, then it must be legal.

The discussion about Snowden having the "authority" to look at all the peoples information clearly shows this. The woman kept saying "legal authority" and Greenwald intelligently pointed out that there is a difference between "legal authority" and just granting yourself the authority to do something. The NSA have granted themselves the authority to do these things, without any regards to the legality of it.

I know everyone here realizes this, was just thinking out loud :P

Glenn Greenwald Rocks!

I see the USUAL SUSPECTS of FASCIST corporate Media... the Obama reelection Channels NBC/MSNBC: 30 Rockefeller Center, the Jeffrey Immelt's Empire State building, you know the Mega-Multinational GE that paid an average 3.17% Corporate Tax Rate for a DECADE. 2002-2012.

Someone remind Glenn Greenwald, with everything he has to remember, don't forget the FISA court gave RETROACTIVE IMMUNITY, in the case against AT&T, room 641A, 611 Market street, San Francisco, CA. That's a prefect example of the 'JUST-US' system and loss of rule of law. When the Federal Government along with corporations can break the law, and when they are caught, just have the courts give retroactive immunity. Lawyers across the nation, look at this case as the straw that broke the Judicial System's Back and Constitution of the United States.

NEW YORK, July 2012 (AP) — Savannah Guthrie made her official debut as Matt Lauer’s co-host on NBC’s ‘‘Today’’ show Monday, shaking off nerves and starting the longtime dominant morning show’s effort to move past a rough patch in its history.

The 40-year-old Guthrie, NBC’s chief legal analyst, said she was honored to have one of those rare jobs ‘‘you can describe as fun and actually mean it.’’ It's so difficult reading off of teleprompters and being told what to do through your earpiece.

He definitely associates himself more with progressives than with us, but he's keenly aware of how hypocritical most progressives are on civil liberties issues, and he lamented that in a Twitter message to Cenk Uygur when both of them defended Rand's filibuster. He's wrong on economic issues for the best possible reason (his heart is even bigger than his brain), and he rationalizes away enumerated powers and the Tenth Amendment because of it, but he's a man of fierce integrity and one of our staunchest allies against the police state. As far as people I'd consider liberals are concerned, he's probably my favorite. :)

There's another guy out there who has steadfastly supported the non-interventionist foreign policy of Ron Paul. I've seen him on C-SPAN a few times and he's knocked it out of the park, blasting Obama as much as Bush. I can see his face but don't remember his name. Savannah Guthrie years in Washington DC and co-hosted with another Fascist establishment talking head, Chuck Todd on the Daily Rundown aka RUNAROUND. These TV News people are the shallowest of all. If any harm comes out of this eavesdropping I would imagine it coming from the fact that we've allowed it for so long. Trying to stop it is only an attempt at avoiding danger.

I remember some thinking it was okay when it was being done outside of the United States and outside of the jurisdiction of the United States Constitution. What we should have been doing was extending the jurisdiction of the forth amendment out over the globe like an umbrella. I don't mean holding others to it, but as a rule or a guide for ourselves to live by.

Plastic surgery and television makeup can turn anyone into a "hottie". They are popular for the same reason Palin was ever relevant as a politician. Not just the plastic surgery, BOTOX, & COLLAGEN... ALL the new HD studio cameras have softening "Wrinkle Removing" software built in. Even the C-SPAN cameras on Capital Hill/White House have these enhancements. go figure

There's a trick that Fascist media uses on their biased reporting and pundits... make their "ringer" look good and turn off or dial it down on someone they want to look bad. This History reminds me of Nixon vs Kennedy in the very close race, where the better lookin candidate won.

All the FASCIST corporate media use it. 1080P, as wonderful as it is, also reveals every wrinkle, scar, and blemish of these teleprompter puppets. The software, I call (Active Adobe Photoshop) cleans up their age and imperfections.

Michele Malkin is blaaaa in person, she doesn't look nearly as bad when her face is active CGI'd on FOX studio cameras.

What's really cool, these active smoothing studio cameras... say C-SPAN, is covering a press conference and the newspaper reporters are there too. They start taking pictures with their flash cameras, the flashes cause the smoothing software on the video camera to "Wig-Out'... it's so dramatic, the politicians go from 'HOT to NOT' back n forth with the flashes...
it freaky when you see just how ugly Congress is, lol.

Yes, of course, being a state governor is politically irrelevant...

Not sure which is your real thought?

Was she not a politician when she was a state governor? Her career didn't start as McCain's VP pick.

She was relevant as a politician because she appealed to the 40-60yo male voting demographic based on her appearance. 2008 just took it to the next level. Same reason they trot out these "hottie" female anchors on the news that just read off teleprompters and always end up defending TPTB.

Im pretty sure the GOP has more male registered than females. The opposite probably true for the Dems. Im having a hard time finding concrete stats on party registration by gender though. Anyway, wasn't trying to derail the thread with a Palin discussion.
