the developers sound really excited about this... do they know it will be used to bomb children?

They don't know, there should be fair use clauses embedded in new R&D contracts looking at children/civilians being blown apart by earlier drones.

So....does that mean I should get involved in falconry as a form of self defense?

Yeah sure... Hawks have way better eyesight than humans, yet they don't see it's not a bird.
I bet the hawk was just pissed off at the intruder and defended his natural born property rights. ;)

You better.
America is behind the curve on this than some of our friends as is.

the millions spent on something like this. It's great science no doubt, i just wonder where folks place their priorities some times.

Most scientists during WWII didn't realize that, and many of them spoke out after they realized it.

Don't hear many of them speaking out these days. A disgrace to the profession.

Black budget contracts are not something many would turn down.

"It still doesn't fly, Sir. We need another 20 million dollars."

A goose laying golden eggs on command could change someone's morality or skew their conscience, I'd imagine.

No it will guaranteed. In 2008 Ron was 1 guy out of 535. We're talking a tenth of a percent. What is it now 2-3 out 535? Two-tenths of a percent?
