So I got a chance to speak a bit to Brannon and his campaign manager at the NCGOP convention. Amongst it, when I mentioned that I am looking for him to stand with Cruz, Paul and Lee, he mentioned that the Senators' offices are watching his race to see how is fund-raising. They want to see how much he has in the bank by June 30th before supporting him to be sure they are not backing someone who can't fund-raise on his own a bit. He is looking for $75K. It's a Catch-22 he said - their endorsements bring more money, but without money, you don't get their endorsements.

So yeah, if you wanna send some $ his way, please do: http://gregbrannon.com/make-a-donation/

Also, when I said that I was a "Ron Paul guy", he said "me too".

He also spoke at the NC RLC luncheon.

Collins needs to get Ron to put out a piece on GB and that should get the seed money rolling. I'll throw down later in the evening.

I already suggested a moneybomb for him after the Paul Broun fundraiser on July 12th

Oh wait, you said they're waiting to see how much he has at the end of this month? Well, I'd say push back Paul Broun's fund-raiser and do a moneybomb for Brannon later this month. Brannon need's more financial help anyway.

He's also way better than Broun. This guy needs a forum ASAP.

I'd agree with that; and one for Nancy Mace once she announces, Joe Miller, and whichever liberty guy runs for the Iowa seat.

The Broun fundraiser should stay put as it's still ~2 weeks off this deadline. 3 weeks here is plenty of time to rally behind GB multiple times for those who have the means and ample time for others to budget appropriately. As I said, Ron needs to whisper to his email lists.

Brannon catches flack from establishment and Tea-o-Con activists in NC because he openly admits that he wrote in Ron Paul in the general. Granted, he doesn't go around touting this, but he won't lie about it if asked directly. He's definitely one of us.

I wish you had clarified what this video was supposed to signify. Does it disprove anything I said?

This is where the liberty movement shoots itself in the foot sometimes; fund raising for worthy candidates. We got to get them enough seed money to get them out of the gate. What date are we thinking about for the Brannon money bomb? July 4th maybe?

Someone on another thread said he had a chance to speak with Brannon's campaign manager this weekend at the Republican Liberty Caucus luncheon. He was told that the Brannon campaign is in talks with Rand about endorsement and support from RandPAC, but that decision will rely heavily on how well Brannon does fundraising on his own through June 30. If a money bomb is going to happen, they'll need the cash by the end of this month, which is also the end of the 2nd Quarter.

I really don't know if it should be risked to just wait and see if Ron will pull out his donor list and give em a call. If enough people want to plan a moneybomb before the 30th for Brannon, then so be it.

I don't think it'll hurt Broun all that much anyway to push back his fundraiser if that's needed for a Brannon moneybomb to initialize. Plus Broun has already been endorsed by Ron, so he's probably going to tap his donor base for him soon if he hasn't already.

I don't exactly disagree with you, but it's also true that people shouldn't run for office for the sake of running. In other words, if you want to run for Senate, you better have some ability or plan to raise some money, or else you're just wasting everyone's time. I'm saying this in general.

As long as it ain't half-assed or a vanity run, I'm all for our people running for every office they can.
