Three American soldiers have been killed in an apparent insider attack in eastern Afghanistan.

Nato said a man in an Afghan army uniform turned his weapon on his international trainers.

It is the latest attack in which infiltrators or disgruntled Afghan police or soldiers have killed international troops working with them.

Report confirms high toll from Afghan insider attacks in 2012The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction points to the dangers posed to foreign troops from their Afghan counterparts.http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/9wbaEXbcXRRDysfz1j3RkA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7Zmk9Zml0O2g9Mjc-/http://media.zenfs.com/en_us/News/logo/csmonitor/csm_logo_115.jpg (http://www.csmonitor.com/)By Dan Murphy | Christian Science Monitor – Thu, Jun 6, 2013

The latest quarterly report from the US government's Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (http://www.sigar.mil/pdf/quarterlyreports/2013-04-30qr.pdf) (SIGAR) reports that 15 percent of US casualties in Afghanistan (http://www.csmonitor.com/tags/topic/Afghanistan) from "hostile action" came in the form of Afghan police and soldiers turning their guns on their erstwhile allies.

And it shouldn't be forgotten that the vast majority of Afghan soldiers and police are fighting for little pay, often far from home, against the Taliban, and are bearing the brunt of the casualties. The NATO coalition in Afghanistan reports (http://www.isaf.nato.int/article/isaf-releases/isaf-factsheet-on-current-ansf-status.html) that Afghan soldier and police averaged 535 deaths a month last year (6,420 for the full year). The foreign coalition's death toll for the year was 402, with 310 of those US troops.

So pay is the big problem?
They did same to Russians 30 years ago in parallel to decapitation of then installed Russian puppet regime.
