"Power is a good pick because she is a very capable and principled advocate of humanitarian intervention," Max Boot, a prominent neoconservative author and senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, told The Cable. Boot said he has been "dismayed" by the Obama administration's reluctance to intervene more forcefully in Syria, but said it could do worse than appoint Power as U.N. ambassador. "I think it's obvious that Samantha has had a meteoric rise due to her great work as a journalist and advocate of humanitarian intervention."
Perhaps most importantly, Power's appointment received praise from Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), a staunch neoconservative on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which will get the first crack at her confirmation vote. "I support President Obama's nomination of Samantha Power to become the next U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations," said McCain (https://twitter.com/mikememoli/statuses/342355446331494400). He called her "well-qualified for this important position," and said the Senate should "move forward on her nomination as soon as possible."
Former Connecticut Senator and dyed in the wool neoconservative Joe Lieberman offered strong praise for Power in a phone call with The Cable. "Generally speaking from her writings, Samantha is probably more personally interventionist as a matter of American foreign policy based on human rights than this administration has been," he said. "I'm very encouraged by the president's appointment."

In other news, Suasan "Benghazi Misleaders Mouthpiece" Rice gets the neocons nod too:

Obama picks loyalist Susan Rice as national security adviser (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/06/05/us-obama-security-rice-idUSBRE9540MM20130605)

Usually the "Freedom" tag is also added, before the fasle paradigm destruction and bloodshed is unleashed.

Ted Cruz is not happy with the pick:

The nomination of Samantha Power is deeply troubling. No nation has spilled more blood or sacrificed more for the freedom of others than ours, and yet Ms. Power has publicly embraced the need for America to continue apologizing to the world for perceived transgressions, going so far as to explicitly urge "instituting a doctrine of the mea culpa." She is yet another Obama nominee who has been sharply critical of our nation's strong support of Israel. She's an aggressive interventionist, supporting sending our men and women into harm's way for "humanitarian" causes. And she has strongly supported the expansion of international institutions and international law--including the International Criminal Court, the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, and the Kyoto Protocol--at the expense of U.S. sovereignty. Indeed, Ms. Power has publicly stated, "We have to believe in international law and binding ourselves to international standards in the interest of getting others bound to those standards." America needs a UN Ambassador to be an advocate for our own interests at the UN--not an advocate of elevating UN interests over U.S. sovereignty and the rights of the American people.

Humanitarian intervention,
Competition annihilation,
Oil exploration,
Drop a few bombs
and break up a nation.

He is not a non-interventionist, but yes he is anti-neocon. He is against intervening for the sake of intervening, and strongly opposes international organizations.

Cruz's stance is encouraging, Warlord.

If only he'd come to grips with the fact that allying with the Israeli government encourages more military intervention (what he claims to oppose).

Cruz is a fraud. He will oppose every appointment Obama ever makes because he knows it plays well for the crowd (see Hagel etc)

There's the usual suspects, but most know of Congressman Ros-Lehtinen thrist to fund Israel first before Americans receive food and shelter... but here's a good clip of what rep. Ros-Lehtinen revealed in her opening 5 minute propaganda speech on Libya. Wait for the Samantha Power comment.

The person "instrumental" in starting the deadly Libya War to "serve the interests of the US government" Samantha Power. Which is now, the new Ambassador to the United Nations. Gesus, the INMATES are running the Prison.
