As a long term member of Congress making an incredible salary for her years of faithful service taking our rights away, I am sure she will receive the very, very best of care.
For one of us Mundanes, that would probably be a death sentence.

WASHINGTON — Representative Carolyn McCarthy, a Democrat from Long Island, announced on Monday that she has a treatable form of lung cancer.
“I am a fighter, as many people know, and I am committed to beating this latest challenge in my life,” said Ms. McCarthy, who became politically active as a gun-control advocate after her husband, Dennis, was killed and her son, Kevin, was injured when a gunman, Colin Ferguson, opened fire on a Long Island Rail Road commuter train in 1993.
“I look forward to a successful treatment and returning to continue the mission that I’ve started as a member of Congress,” Ms. McCarthy added in her statement.
