One of my IRS correspondents had an interesting detail on his social media profile. He belongs to a Facebook group titled “Target the Shutdown at the Tea Party States.” Created in the run-up to the 2011 debt-ceiling showdown, the group’s Facebook page advocated a hard-nosed tactic for President Obama to take in negotiating with House Republicans:

“My idea would be to target the shutdown at Tea Party states,” the group’s page explains. “For instance, shut down air traffic control at airports in Norfolk, Tampa, Nashville, Indianapolis, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, etc….”

Meh, I'm sure you could find a tea partier that works for the IRS too.

Doubt it. He said every single one of them in Ohio donated to Sherrod Brown and Obama.

Move along, move along, nothing to see here ...

It's just a concerned public servant exercizing his 1st amendment right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Move along, move along ...

Megyn 'neocon feminist' Kelly :

http://therightscoop.com/ben-swann-updates-megyn-kelly-on-the-latest-with-irs-scandal/Did you catch the dialog starting @ the 2:00 mark? When they had the list of IRS employees in Swann's IRS organization chart, they wanted information on the supervisors/Managers/etc... Cincinnati referred all inquires to Washington DC IRS HQ. Washington DC IRS headquarters refused to disclose the government IRS employees... citing the PRIVACY ACT.

Fuck these criminal thieves, absolute power corrupts, no better example there is, than the IRS.

PS: Late breaking news... During the great recession, IRS spent $4 Million dollars on one of their conventions at an Anaheim hotel, next to Disneyland 2010.

I did indeed. I think it specifically had to do with a request for the promotion date of that Seok guy.

Interesting, isn't it? The promotion dates for "public servants" () is a "private" matter ...

Ain't "transparency" grand?

Her actions speak louder to me than her being sweet and friendly to people. Most politicians are really nice to people's faces.

True, but I'll give her this. She was the person who repeatedly outed Rick Perry. She wouldn't let him squirm away and if she hadn't done that, he likely would have gone much further than he did.

Really. Defending Bachmann is defending a murderous chickenhawk. I'd just as soon defend her as I would Lindsay Graham, Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

Until I realized how she was voting on intelligence committee stuff, I thought she might have been second best to Ron, for a while, until she lied about him. A lot of her supporters have cross over with us, if their important reasons for liking her were fiscal, and local government decisions (ignoring the FISA Patriot Act trend) A lot of them were shocked when she voted to extend the patriot act. So I consider them potential cross over allies on various issues at least. Remember how much she stole Ron's message, even to specific exact phrases....

Yeah. I recall that...I guess I'm a bit extra-hostile to her because I consider her a back-stabber and opportunist.

Is that why we're treading carefully when it comes to who Bachmann really is? We want her former supporters?
