Is he a liberty candidate? How does the lay out of the district look for him in the election?

Mr. Crews is a tea partier, conservative, and liberty oriented. Honestly, Mr. Crews is not as liberty oriented as Congressman Thomas Massie. Yes,This is a very winnable three way race. The State House District leans Republican in the national elections, but was held by a Democrat Incumbent who resigned from the seat early. The layout of the house district includes portion of Woodford, Frankllin(Frankfort), and Fayette(Lexington) Counties.

Thanks for the information (+rep).

I found a little bit more in this (http://www.kentucky.com/2013/04/30/2621533/kentucky-republicans-choose-lyen.html) article.

"In 2010, Crews lost to Rollins by 744 votes in the district, capturing 47.7 percent of the vote."

Looks like he at least has some name recognition when he ran against an incumbent. Besides him and the Democrat, who is the third candidate? Do you think they will be a factor?

Thank you very much for your input. This is another link for the campaign: http://www.lyencrews.com/issues/
Personally, the independent candidate may receive between 1-3% of the overall vote, but that remains up in the air.

John Mark Hack ended up receiving almost 22% in this special election race. The winner was the socialist Democrat with 44% of the final vote.
