The Democrats should be careful what they wish for...

It doesn't appear that Matthews realizes how much appeal Rand has with independents. It's silly to just bunch him with Cruz (who can be harsh or divisive in his tone) as if they were somehow the same.

If the election were held today, Hillary would destroy anyone. I know she is guilty for what happened in the Middle East. She resigned in shame and should never hold a position of any kind again, but most people disagree. Most people want her to be President, even though she isn't physically or mentally able to serve, IMO.

There's a long way to go. She aint destroying Rand.

Well, after helping him in his senate primary... they realized their mistake. This time they want to undermine him with Republicans because they know what a threat he'd be.

In politics, everything seems to mean the reverse of what is said.

Rand would eat Hillary for breakfast in a debate. And come off as a whole lot more likeable. Everyone knows Hillary is a mean spirited shrew, and it definitely helped Soetoro gain on her in the 2008 primaries.

It's the job of people like Chris Matthews to try to pump up the establishment puppets. Thus the shout outs for Billary and Christie, and the dismissive contempt for the candidates that are most dangerous to the status quo.

Surprised Elizabeth Warren's numbers are that low. Wasn't she the hero of the left a couple years ago?

Yep. Attempting to shape opinion and condition the masses.

To be fair, Hillary served admirably during the Punic Wars.

Republicans need to nominated Christie or Jeb Bush, says Matthews. They're the electable ones, just like Dole, McCain and Romney were.

The Democrats will literally celebrate if the Republicans pick Jeb Bush. They know the country doesn't want another Bush in the White House. Only someone as dumb as Matthews would think Jeb was electable...

To lump Rand in with Cruz or indeed any other idiot on the Hill (with about 5 exceptions) is funny.

Warlord thinks Cruz is abrasive, brash, has a whiny/annoying voice and would not do well outside of Texas.

Rand as a national candidate is simply on another level to anyone in the GOP. That's why he's going to get the nomination and it's going to be fairly routine if he covers all the bases and puts in the effort.

These guys don't seem to realize that Rand gets more support among moderate Republicans and independents than any other Republican.

Honestly, Rubio is pathetic and tells non-stop lies. He is never, ever going to beat Rand in a million years.

Perry raised unlimited amounts too.. it means nothing unless you can win in IA or NH.

He doesn't. That's the point. He knows better, he is trying to use subtle programming to tailor the race for a President Shillary in 2016.

It isn't, and she won't.

What will she run on? A campaign of doing everything the same way it has been done for the last 20 years? How in the world will that excite anyone?

Say what you will about Cruz, but I'm relatively certain that he'd get anyone even remotely right-leaning engaged in politics.

Now, noting that, if Rand wins the party nomination, if he picked a centrist, moderate, running-mate, he'd mop the floor with Hillary.

History, recent and otherwise, suggests that telling non-stop lies is not necessarily an impediment to higher office.

The more Rand opens his mouth, the more independents he loses.

There isn't enouh backlash against Obama and the Democratic Party now as some would believe, rather they see it as the Right just grasping at anything they can. She's seen by a lot as a successful Secretary of State and they won't hammer her on Benghazi the way Republicans are now. And excitement? They'll be excited at the prospect of electing the first female President, the way they were with Obama. Plus Bill Clinton is still wildly popular and carries a lot of influence.

These media pundits think you're stupid enough to fall for that. They want the squishy republicans to rise to the top so either way the establishment wins.

All Rand has to say if you want a continuation of the Obama years then Hillary is your horse. Obama is becoming very much despised.

There is a long way to go.

The fake economy will collapse by 2016 making voters less likely to vote for an Obama/Democrat third term

Obamacare hits Jan 1st 2014 and health premiums will skyrocket up to 300% some say and millions will lose their coverage all together to be shunted onto an inadequate federal exchange. Chaos will ensue. Clinton supports this scheme.

Benghazi is only just starting. There will be much more coming out that can be used against her. They're going to call her back at some point.

Despite all her alleged popularity Rand is 4 points behind her and she can't even get over 50% in some hypothetical poll in Iowa which voted for Obama and socialist Tom Harkin numerous times. Rand has been on the scene for 2 years while she's been on the scene for 20! He's still got a a big upward trajectory.
