It's a super government-managed "Free Trade" agreement.

Wikipedia: Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Pacific_Strategic_Economic_Partnership)

The 2005 Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPSEP or P4) is a free trade agreement among Brunei, Chile, New Zealand, and Singapore. It aims to further liberalise the economies of the Asia-Pacific region.[7]

Since 2010, negotiations have been taking place for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a proposal for a significantly expanded version of TPSEP. The TPP is a proposed free trade agreement under negotiation by (as of December 2012) Australia, Brunei, Chile, Canada, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States, and Vietnam. Japan has expressed its desire to become a negotiating partner, but not yet joined negotiations as the TPP became a major issue in Japan's 2012 election. South Korea was asked by the US to consider joining the TPP but declined for the time being.

The TPP is ostensibly intended to be a "high-standard" agreement specifically aimed at emerging trade issues in the 21st century. These ongoing negotiations have drawn criticism and protest from the public, advocacy groups, and elected officials, in part due to the secrecy of the negotiations, the expansive scope of the agreement, and a number of controversial clauses in drafts leaked to the public.

My simple interpretation of things: Conservatives want to limit government to promote capitalism. Liberals want to expand government to protect them from corporations. Corporations want to control the government so that they can achieve maximum profits regardless of the conservative or liberal positions. Does this sound about right?

What is the most effective way to fight corporatism? Obviously, getting incorruptible people to represent us is one way, but I don't see too many Ron Paul types to choose from. I've paid off my credit cards, I'm trying to live a more minimalistic than I did in the past. What are effective tools to fight against corporatism?

What will the free market do to prevent harmful materials, such as lead in paint?

I constantly see tweets by Japanese people thinking Ron can intercede for them on this, they don't want it either, and they tell him so.

Wanting a free market doesn't advocate the destruction of our Republic. Most of us still want a court system. If lead paint makes people sick they still have the right to use the legal system.

If the judges actually abide by past Supreme Court cases, the IRS wouldn't exist.

And they have unlimited funds to do so,

until we regain control of our currency.
