Please pledge to the Ron Paul blimp. Once there is enough commitment, there will be an email sent out to tell people to fulfill the pledge. Spread the word, this is a great idea, especially coming from grassroots supporters!

the blimp being leased by individuals doesnt fall under any fec restrictions. at the most... the people will have to simply file the amount used to lease it....

UGH, learn the FEC rules first how bout it. A foreigner can spend a Billion Euros on American Ron Paul blimps if he/she sees fit; All legally (some limits apply to PAC, like this one, but not spending in general). A foreigner cannot give to the campaign or give to a PAC that is set up to give to the campaign.

Federal election advertising does, and this is certainly federal election advertising. Foreigners cannot contribute to a PAC, and a PAC must be used for an advertising expenditure this big.

We have legal council.

We will not be forming a PAC. It will be an FEC nightmare. If we were to do a PAC then the amount contributed towards the blimp would go towards your $2,300 limit for Ron Pauls Campaign.

Foreign nationals cannot contribute to influence a political election.

We have something foreign nationals can do and will issue an official press release tonight to everyone about the changes and why we did them.

This press release will also release the $5,000 cap to infinity for Americans.

Your legal "council" [SIC] does not know federal election law if they think you can spend >$1000 on advertising for a candidate for a federal election and not form a committee.

Acting as a Group
If you and other individuals act together as a group to conduct activities to influence a Federal election, the group may become a "political committee." In general, a group that raises or spends over $1,000 per year to influence Federal elections must register, keep records on financial transactions and file reports on the committee's activities.

I'm placing a vote of No Confidence on the blimp project.

Hold off for a second. Let see what they have come up with. THERE ARE WAYS AROUND the current regulations, especially with this type of project.

I will donate $500, but only if FEC is ok. I don't want to get in trouble later.

A Ron Paul blimp flying over Time Square New York City when they drop the ball at midnight

with the whole WORLD -- BILLIONS -- watching TV including all the people in the early primary states.

International press covering the story in London, Tokyo, Paris, Moscow... newspapers throughout the world.

Does that sound like a good idea?

Are you crazy? Its A GREAT IDEA!!!!
