There's nothing "vague" about it.

Piers Morgan: ‘This Is Vaguely Tyrannical Behavior by the American Government’

In light of the IRS targeting conservative groups and the Department of Justice’s seizure of reporters’ phone records, Piers Morgan reversed course and sided with gun advocates who have expressed concerns about an expanding government.

“I’ve had some of the pro-gun lobbyists on here, saying to me, ‘Well, the reason we need to be armed is because of tyranny from our own government,’ and I’ve always laughed at them,” Morgan said last night. “But, actually, this is vaguely tyrannical behavior by the American government.”

Guest Penn Jillette agreed with his assessment: “I think that it shows you that how much we can trust the government and just sit back, which is not very much at all.”

Oh, this is vaguely tyrannical? The wars, the police state, the loss of civil liberties etc wasn't even remotely tyrannical?

Got it. Thanks Pierce.

Okay. Something weird is going on. Is the American media actually starting to grow a spine? Did Obama cross a bridge to far by spying on journalists? Could we actually be....winning? Somebody pinch me!

He's catching on I'm tellin' ...

Nevermind, Morgan is a paid globalist shill. He is a soulless ghost of a man who sold out his people and integrity a long long time ago.

Hey, you know what, progress is progress.

The pro-guns argument doesn't require that tyranny be "likely," only that it be a realistic possibility. As soon as it's even "vaguely" conceivablefor the government to qualify as tyrranical, it immediately justifies the rationale of 2nd Amendment proponents and disarms the critics.

What a dumbass

Piers Morgan being a dumbass is expected. Piers Morgan actually, though somewhat grudgingly, agreeing with the main point of 2nd amendment defenders is.....frightening. If PM starts talking about how concerning it is for the DHS to be stockpiling bullets...I'm packing my bug out bag.

I, for one, commend Piers for realizing that not everything is just peachy with the federal government.

Storm Troopers knocking down his front door, shooting his dog, and giving him a SIG556 rifle enema, might have Piers Morgan change his statement to "Moderately Tyrannical"?

Peirs Morgan the TV Puppet is a Tool for the Cultural Marxist propaganda of CNN. He's a frigin TV celebrity, a cultural kook that's compensated very nicely to push their agenda, he's not a American human being or Patriot of any sort.

I would have done the same thing. Agreed, and let Piers lead the anti-government tirade. I've only been able to change people's minds by gently guiding them and letting them ultimately connect the dots themselves. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

Wise. That's verbal judo.

The media tide turning is ENTIRELY because they are finally being personally effected - the sycophantic worship they've engaged in and watching others lose their rights steadily haven't caused them to flinch, but now that the government is acting against them there's now a problem.

Of all the things our government has done since 9/11, this is probably among the least tyrannical.

Exactly. They realize that they rely on sources and that what the government has done now has the chance to SEVERELY limit their access to information.

Yep. He's got his plate pretty full. Spying on the media. Using IRS to attack political opponents. And now the whole Benghazi deboggle heating up.

I hope he's in deep shit.

Oh FFS... d00d, get your brain in gear because you are way too smart to be asking a question like this. Media did the exact same thing with GW. When first elected and for the coming 6 years it was fellatio city - George W could do no wrong. Then almost over night they bit, made him scream, and tossed him under the bus. I would find it difficult to accept the notion that media does anything "organically", which is to say without an ulterior motive. They are power players and if it becomes convenient to toss Bammy or anyone else under the wheels, it's done.

One of the truly disturbing things about the media is that their stock in trade is naught but words. They don't produce anything real or of lasting value, save on the most rare of occasions. Think about that a minute or ten: all they do is talk, and yet with that they wield enormous power to bend opinion this way or that.

First they came for the Communists,
and I didnt speak up,
because I wasnt a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didnt speak up,
because I wasnt a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didnt speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.
