Just-Us.

The family will sue in civil court, nail the taxpayers for a couple of million, or their insurers anyways, with no "admission of wrongdoing" by the police, and Officer Friendly will go right on busting heads.

Why was only one “officer” present at court? Being that is appeared there were at least others involved in that unlawful entry and unjustified homicide incident. They should all be standing side-by-side. You know stand together, and all of that.

That is so ridiculous though; of course he might have been armed, anybody could be armed, but until that is known to be the case, as fact, then there is no justification for lethal force to be used. Regardless, even if he were armed, until he actually commits to brandishing— in a reasonably dangerous manner—or discharging his weapon, still there is no justification for lethal force to be used against that person.

Moreover, if he had brandished or discharged his weapon at the police, the question needs to first be answered, as to if he was legally justified in having done so (e.g., were the police acting against him without law or unlawfully, did have reason to believe his home was being invaded by criminals, etc?)

You are ALLOWED to defend yourself with a gun in your home. It isn't the homeowner who wasn't supposed to be there.

Yup, it's to the point where they just kill you in your house for no reason, and say everything is okay.
