I'm not sure at all why it bothers you. I think it's positive to see that yes, a Muslim woman can be in a beauty pagent in a bikini and all hell doesn't break loose in the Muslim world that supposedly "hates us for our freedom". But hey, if the thread offends nobody has to click on it.

Edit: And the fact that idiots on Fox would try to turn this into a stupid conspiracy for Muslims to somehow enforce Sharia law on Americans by violating it shows that a Muslim winning Ms. USA opened up an important bit of dialog if only to show how xenophobic and idiotic some people are.

The whole "Muslims are out to force America to adopt Sharia law" conspiracy theory is one of the main reasons Ron Paul had such a hard time in the GOP primaries and why Rand Paul has to sometimes speak "neocon light" just to stay relevant.
