Eating more insects could help fight world hunger, according to a new UN report.

The report by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization says that eating insects could help boost nutrition and reduce pollution.

It notes than over 2 billion people worldwide already supplement their diet with insects.

However it admits that "consumer disgust" remains a large barrier in many Western countries.

I watched a bunch of Americans eat big sea bugs yesterday. I was disgusted.

If eating insects helps a community from starving, that community will do it on its own. No one is that stupid.

There is also no need for someone in a restaurant in Buffalo to order cricket parm. That will not prevent anyone from starving. That will also not happen, unless Buffalo gets a sudden hankering for crickets.

I'm sure the UN intends to lead the way and show us how it is done. So that's all they'll get at that building in NY, right?

I just ate a few blackflys while mowing the lawn. Not intentionally.
