Don't forget how important the levels on the sound are. There is a point then the sound is clipping bad enough to pull all the volume dynamics out of the soundtrack and this can make peoples ears get tired long before their eyes are. If you want your videos to make an impact you really need to pay attention to this. I'm an audio engineer and music producer and i know the deal with stuff like this.

There is a reason why commercials sound the way they do compared to tv shows. Highly compressed super loud audio like you hear on a commercial is meant to do one thing, to get your attention but the downside to this is that audio that is so loud and flat will only hold tour attention for about 25 seconds before it becomes annoying. This may work well for really short videos on Ron Paul but for the ones longer than 30 seconds you need to really pay attention and make sure the voice and music don't compete with eachother and make sure the sound is not overcompressed so you can hold their attention longer.

If we are going to beat the big money with our own media war then we need to be aware of the most effective tactics. We need to step the game up to get ready for the time when we start putting out our own tv commercials to support Ron. If anybody needs my help let me know.

How is mine? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilzoAYE498A

I need to make one small adjustment in there anyway so if you think I need to tweak the sounds let me know. :)

The sound is fine, I had youtube's volume set to the middle and my workstation's volume set to the middle and it sounded fine.

BTW, I don't think your video is appropriate for newbs, but goodness gracious sakes alive it certainly got my testosterone flowing. Nice work.

Good advice.

Another thing: Don't get carried away with being fancy or flashy with text and captions. Make sure there is sufficient time to read it it and that there is good color contrast and that the font is not hard to read. If I can't read it because it won't sit still long enough for me to read and when it does I can barely make out what it says because the colors of the words blend into the background then all that beautiful calligraphy text is less than useless; It's annoying.

Like blogs, videos can now be made and published by anyone. Problem is, not everyone knows the art and science of making videos. Things like "riding the sound levels" for individual channels, or the automated route using sidechaining. There's timing, flow, B-cuts, when to cut, lighting, subject motion, camera motion, on and on. Not everyone wants to learn this, which is why we have a plethora of sub-par videos that aren't competing with pros.

However, if anyone wants to learn, even just to pick up ONE tip that will improve your "production value", to to www.bestvideomaker.com to start out.

Pretty provocative video, but we all know that this next revolution of arms wont be fought with large numbers of people but small tactical groups to remove the head of this dragon.
