Robin Koerner recently gave this speech at Washington State's "Cascade Liberty Summit" and made some great points on how to make liberty and the LP mainstream.

I definitely think we shouldn't be running Presidential candidates at this point. We should be trying to get the House first...

Even if you're not a fan of the LP, he makes some great points on how we can advance the liberty agenda in any party. (He also recently spoke at the Washington State RLC convention)

Forget the LP.

Just wondering, but what exactly is your problem with the LP?

My biggest problem with them is their pro-choice stance, but they still strike me as better than any other party out there. The Constitution Party is decent as well, they're a bit socially theocratic but at least they realize that social issues are left to the states under the US constitution. Even still, overall the LP is better.

No the LP is not viable in the US and UKIP does not have any seats at the Westminster parliament where it is first past the post in gerrymandered districts like the US House.

That's very hard to break into, if not impossible.

Your stuck with the GOP i'm afraid.

UKIP have done well because they've been running for the European Parliament which has a proportional voting system so getting 20% of the vote means they get 20% of the UK's seats.

This has enabled them to get a foot in the door after about 15 years but they'll still have problems winning Westminster seats of which you need like 300 to form a government.

If I'm going to play politics, it's going to be with the purpose of accomplishing something. If I don't think I can do that, then whatever means I may have of trying to do some good, it won't involve pouring my life into helping someone break 2% in an election.
