Frankly, I don't think it's been established that the campaign actually nets anything off the sales of the goods listed at the www.ronpaul2008.com website 'official' store. It is my understanding from a number of sources that the printer/supplier gets 100% of the gross sales, while the amount one pays still counts against one's 'contribution limit'.

The official website store makes absolutely no mention that any portion of the proceeds from the sales of the goods sold on the campaign website goes directly to the campaign as a donation. I'd be very interested in seeing evidence that this is in fact the case when the official website does not state that it is.

We provide Ron Paul items much cheaper, and we are strictly an ad hoc grassroots activity, not a business enterprise like the printer/supplier for the campaign's website store (which means we pay more for printing than the 'official' printer does, item for item), and yet we still manage to provide items for less, and much less in most cases.

And we will make adjustments on our car magnets to bring them in line with what's listed on the campaign store in the next few days.

Here is the way I see it... The campaign has ordered these signs(which are 50% cheaper than the ones you offer) they can either sell them and add to their contribution numbers and escape losing out on the investment or not.

Here is the way I see it... The campaign has ordered these signs(which are 50% cheaper than the ones you offer) they can either sell them and add to their contribution numbers and escape losing out on the investment or not.

We've been contacted by state coordinators and others who tell us that the official printer is currently so backlogged they are unable to even provide a date as to when they can expect delivery, which is why they contacted us - to get signs now instead of 'whenever'. So there is no standing stock as you assert, the official printer only prints the signs 'as needed'.

I can guarantee you that the campaign is not going to be 'out of pocket' on the signs, nor is the official printer due to a long standing relationship. OTOH, we have thousands tied up in stock and stand to lose all on that which is not sold if and when 'the music stops'.

Now, as far as our prices on yard signs go, our signs are a full 50% larger (18x24 vs. 12x24) with much better visibility (bolder font), so a side by side comparison isn't at all fair - we're talking comparing apples to oranges. Also, our wire stands are the more stable 10" wire stands instead of the 6" wide wire stands, another apples to oranges comparison. Considering all that, the price for our 25 count yard sign package with wire stands and shipping included is only a couple of dollars more than the 'official' price for 25 yard signs (with shipping) which are 2/3's of the size. However when you get to the 50 count and 100 count packages we are far less expensive (substantially so in the 100 count).

It is worth noting that no one sells bulk corrugated plastic 18x24 yard signs less than we do per 100 ($144.00 plus $30.00 shipping when paying with a USPS Money Order), and even less by the pallet of 1,000. And our artwork doesn't have the 'for' present, which gives a really poor impression.

If that is the case, it sounds like campaign headquarters needs to have more than one printer. At this point, probably several.

Someone from this forum posted last week telling us that the campaign had informed them that a batch of car signs were ordered and should be available via the website soon.

I don't know how the yard signs work, but I believe you are correct because someone I ran into recently said he had tried to order some and the campaign said they were out.

We have yard signs in stock ready for next day shipping.

Our signs are a better value since they are 50% larger and less expensive in quantities of 25, 50, 100, 200, etc.

Your signs are bigger, but I'm not following you on the "cheaper" part. Am I missing something? Is shipping perhaps included in your prices?

* You charge $124.75 for 25 yard signs w/stands. The campaign charges $100.
* You charge $188.50 for 50 yard signs w/stands. The campaign charges $150.
* You charge $292.50 for 100 yards signs w/stands. The campaign charges $250.
* You charge $562.50 for 200 yard signs w/stands. The campaign charges $500.

Those figures are definitely not accurate.

Our prices include shipping.

You apparently failed to type in your zip code to get a complete shipping charge, because if you did you would have ended up with these actual total costs:

Official campaign store prices in bold:
25 = $122.00 (ours @ $124.75)
50 = $192.00 (ours @ $188.50)
100 = $342.00 (ours @ $292.50)
200 = $592.00 (ours @ $562.50)

Again, we're comparing apples to oranges here since our signs are 50% larger and have upgraded wire stands with them. Also, the artwork on our signs has greater impact (no negative subliminals and larger, bolder letters).

I didn't type in any zip code at all, because it will differ depending upon each person. What I listed was the price for only the signs. I did the same for your signs. I didn't see anywhere on your site where it said shipping was included. Nice to know that it is.

Note: How can you list a defacto shipping price for the campaign. Does it not depend upon your zip code?

Regardless... point well-made. Your signs ARE cheaper.

I've submitted zip codes all over the country on that website and the shipping remains consistently the same from item to item.

The shipping for our items is fixed because Paypal is not flexible enough to handle our needs in this respect, which also forces us to include it rather than break it out as a separate cost.

Not only do we have the 12x18 car magnets, we also have 3x11.5 blank magnets for the bumper stickers and smaller oval magnets.
