You know, I don't buy the whole they hate us for our freedoms line, but Snooki might be the exception. Either that or Honey Boo Boo.

The older brother lived here his entire life basically and said in an interview a few years ago "I don't understand Americans. I have no American friends." A 26 year old with no friends who embraces radical Islam.

So if our foreign policy was different this would just be a normal guy? I doubt it.

In 2011 he had some Jewish friends, they got killed. He may have not had any "American" friends at the time, I don't know.

I think people who bomb innocent people have screws loose beyond whatever sets them off, but that doesn't mean they aren't motivated by whatever they are motivated by.

The real psychopathy of blowback is not that it radicalizes people and turns them against the US govt.

It is that they are being shown, by example, that violence is how you solve problems. You want something done in a country? Arm the rebels, assassinate the leader, and bomb the infrastructure.

The survivors then see that they've been irreparably hurt by the violence of the govt, and want to turn the tables by being violent against them.

Even if we assume that the Boston bombers were "off" and wouldn't have fit in their social sphere, they would have been less likely to turn violent had they not been triggered to act by violence.
