I am a bit older than most here and I still remember when these boys were convicted and I admit I was swept up by the media at the time and didn't flinch at the thought of their guilt. I had not yet seen the light with how the system works but sadly these days, a story like this, while incredibly disgusting, is somehow unsurprising.

While NYC has improved a bit over the years, the issues with police corruption and coercion have not disappeared in NY and can (and often do) exist anywhere. People far too often have blind faith in their leaders and law enforcement and stories like this are a harsh reminder that the justice system, the state, and law enforcement can and do fail or worse yet, are corrupt. It is an atrocity that the City of New York still has not given any sort of retribution to these boys after stealing their lives from them for many years under the worst of circumstances.

Hopefully some of you will watch the movie and comment here with whatever thoughts you have as well as sharing this movie with anyone you think would be interested or moved by it.

I just had a friend tell me about this documentary... Thanks for posting the link.

I don't mean to sound like a Debbie Downer but I think it's too late. There was a total police state in Boston and they people just cowered in their homes and then cheered when the occupying force acted as judge, jury, and executioner.

I hope I'm wrong and I will continue to educate and attempt to live free in an unfree world but it can sure hopeless at times.
