McCain voted YAY of course. He should just become a D already. (Word around the AZ country clubs is, when he first decided to enter politics he said he was going to run as a Democrat but his friends told him he'd never be elected in AZ, so he became a Republican instead.)

The biggest reason I hope there is a vote and I hope it gets zero votes is so that Matt Collins will stop talking about this issue :toady: I wonder if that reason will work on my Senators?

Vote will occur on Monday, 5:30 pm ET.

Call your Senators tomorrow, especially if your Senator is a Republican.

Amazon.com will be PISSED

They support this bill because they've already been forced by many states to charge sales tax. Now they want other online retailers to be punished too.

I don't think Amazon would be so supportive of the bill if it wanted the bill to fail.

Yes, this would be overall bad for amazon's business. However, if it passes, amazon will be the most resilient to this bill due to their sheer size and systems. This bill might hurt the absolute size of the online market, but help amazon's relative share of the pie.
