Breaking: Lockdown at Carroll University in Waukesha after report of gunman

WAUKESHA - Officials have locked down the Carroll University campus in Waukesha after a report of a man with a firearm.

Waukesha Central Middle School was placed on lockdown as well. It is just blocks from the Carroll campus.

At about 11:25 a.m., a street was closed off on Maple Street near the campus in an area near the campus, according to TODAY'S TMJ4's Todd Hicks. It was believed the gunman may live near that location.

Authorities reportedly may know the name of the alleged gunman.

Carroll University's spokesman told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Michelle Richards that two students spotted the gunman with what was described as a long gun.

Having that stuff in the news constantly is not going to result in less of those crimes. Lunatics are responging to it when they realize that they can be the center of attention of a whole nation once they shoot a couple of people or blow something up. If anything, reporting about those incidents should be banned.

Or people would boycott those terrible vultures called the media in a more sane and decent world...
