What a classy dude we got in the White House these days.
Some reports say they were walking and were not driving, another said they were lost.

Afghanistan like Benghazi: New reports of U.S. deaths clash with official story

Anne Smedinghoff, a 25-year-old female United States diplomat from the Chicago area, was killed along with five other Americans in a suicide car bomb blast on April 6, 2013 in Afghanistan.
Credits:
On Sunday, April 7, The Associated Press reported (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/K/KERRY_AFGHANISTAN?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2013-04-07-04-43-56) that Taliban militants in Afghanistan (http://www.examiner.com/topic/afghanistan) killed six Americans on Saturday -- including a 25-year-old female diplomat from the Chicago area named Anne Smedinghoff (http://www.examiner.com/topic/anne-smedinghoff/articles) – after being hit by a suicide car bomb explosion while traveling in a convoy of vehicles to donate books to a new school in Qalat. But a local ABC affiliate in Chicago reported Thursday (http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=9062019) that Smedinghoff “was on foot when she was killed.”
This account clashes with the official story issued at the time of the attack.
As Breitbart noted (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/09/11/Mainstream-Media-Ignoring-Increase-In-Deaths-Wounded-In-Afghanistan-Under-Obama) on the day U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in a terrorist attack in Benghazi, “more U.S. soldiers have been killed and wounded during President Barack Obama’s first term in office than former President George W. Bush’s two terms.”
The Defense Department has tallied (http://news.yahoo.com/us-military-deaths-afghanistan-1-980-154717834.html) 1,987 deaths. The Associated Press has counted (http://news.yahoo.com/us-military-deaths-afghanistan-1-980-154717834.html) 1,980. Other organizations put the number above 2,000. In addition, according to the Defense Department, 17,519 service members have been wounded in Afghanistan.
That raises the question of why so many State Department civilians had been taken to Qalat.
"Ordinarily," McClatchy noted, "U.S. diplomats aren’t allowed to travel much outside their diplomatic posts.
McClatchy also identified the critically wounded State Department officer as 33-year-old Kelly Hunt, a former Tennessee’s Knoxville News Sentinel staff member who was serving as a public diplomacy officer in Kandahar.
An aunt told McClatchy that Hunt had been taken to the U.S. military’s Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany for surgery during which doctors induced a medical coma and removed part of her skull to help fight swelling in her brain.
A Pentagon statement identifying the three soldiers killed by the explosion said they’d died in Kandahar, apparently an indication that they’d been evacuated by air while still alive. They were Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Ward, 24, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Spc. Wilbel A. Robles-Santa, 25, of Junco, Puerto Rico, and Spc. Delfin M. Santos Jr., 24, of San Jose, Calif.
As Examiner noted April 7 (http://www.examiner.com/article/another-u-s-diplomat-and-five-more-americans-killed-afghanistan), seven months have passed since the attack in Benghazi. Despite numerous vows by Obama and Clinton, no one has been brought “to justice.”
On Saturday -- the day Smedinghoff and five other Americans were killed, ABC News reported (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2013/04/president-obama-plays-golf-for-second-weekend-in-a-row/) that Obama was golfing – for “the second weekend in a row” --at a course at Joint Base Andrews with White House aides Marvin Nicholson, Joe Paulsen, and Michael Brush.
The following day -- although Obama’s White House schedule (http://www.whitehouse.gov/schedule/vice-president) was empty -- he said nothing.
While six days have passed – and new reports conflict with with the official version issued by U.S. and Afghan officials -- the president has yet to issue a statement about the American deaths or to even acknowledge that the attack took place.
