Please God find an actual conservative. Brown is dumb as a box of rocks.

-
Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown wasn't giving any previews about a possible Senate run in New Hampshire Sunday.

"I'm not going to comment on that, obviously," the Republican said on "Fox News Sunday," "Nothing is off the table, and nothing is on the table. Right now I'm recharging the batteries and working hard."

He got a little bit of a boost from GOP strategist Karl Rove, who was appearing with him on the same Fox panel.

"This guy is a ninth generation New Hampshirian," Rove said. "That's the dirty little secret. His mother lives there."

Lol. Is Scott an actual Blue Republican to you :D I'd call him more golden. He has that deep tan that Ben Swann and Mitt Romney have.

What the hell does Brown know about NH and its values? He was one of the most liberal Republican's in years.

God help us.

God help us. You may be right but a Scott Brown or a Susan Collins is the only type of Republican that has any chance at all to be elected to the Senate in a New England state.

I think the dem candidate would kick his ass and if he's the top of the ticket it could sabotage the rest of the ticket.

Um...I don't think you understand New Hampshire then. New Hampshire has a very unique and slightly rebellious culture (even excluding the FSP) from the rest of New England.

Um...I don't think you understand New Hampshire then. New Hampshire has a very unique and slightly rebellious culture (even excluding the FSP) from the rest of New England. I will be honest. I'm from the midwest and now live in the south. I am well traveled but claim to be an expert in nothing in particular. I only know what I see. Just like newcomers have Californicated Colorado, I see the same thing happening in New Hampshire. I am aware of the rebellious culture that you speak of, and I believe you can find it in Maine and Vermont also, to one degree or another. I just see an unstoppable blue tidal wave in that part of the country. In New Hampshire the governor is a Democrat, as is a majority in the lower house of the state legislator, and both representatives in Congress. When was the last time a Republican Presidential candidate carried New Hampshire? Face it. Those of us who love freedom and see the whole thing swirling down the drain are up against it everywhere. Good luck to all of you in the "live free or die" state.

"Live free or die".

I think they "died" along time ago.

The amazing thing is they've managed to keep the Democrats feet to the fire there. Tyranny has not infected the state yet but they're following the same slowly she goes progressive model they've implemented at the Federal level over the last 100 years.

They wont take all your freedoms and bankrupt Blue Hampshire just yet but will when the population has been sufficiently dumbed down or enough MA liberals have infested the place like rats leaving a sinking ship.

If they send people like Scott Brown to Congress though they deserve everything they get. He votes for big spending. Ergo, time to pony up Blue Hampshire!

FSP should have taken over WY instead.

The FSP has nothing to do with taking over anything. Please don't say things like that about the FSP. It hurts the image of the organization. It's not a big deal when statists, trying to hurt the FSP, say lies like that. I really would appreciate if liberty folks don't say things like that, though :) Thank you.

Isn't the idea to take over?

To create a big enough voting block of activists and to install candidates in political office and then subject the rest of the population to pro-liberty policies?

I fully endorse the effort I just think it would have worked better in GOP leaning WY.

OK, cool, you just misunderstand then. But to answer your question, no. The FSP has nothing to do with taking over anything. The whole idea is silly if you think about the numbers anyway. 20,000 people cannot take over a state with 1.3 million people. For example, lots of free staters are NHGOP or NHDP delegates or state committee members. Many of us didn't demand to get on the committees or else. Other NH folks encouraged us to join become part of party leadership. We have created a lot of TV shows, radio shows, blogs and even a few newspapers. Media isn't a way to take over but to influence.

There is no concentrated effort by any group to take over New Hampshire, fspers, libertarians, liberals, massholes or not. It's just not something that is happening here. NH is changing (and for the better in my opinion) but the state has always changed.

The socialists from Massachusetts seem to have no qualms about taking over. "Hey, here's a wealthy prosperous free state, let's go spend all their money through gov't. For some odd reason, we ran out of money in our old state."

New Hampshire, at least in terms of a statewide electorate, is not libertarian. Maybe in Republican primaries that's about it. The libertarian streak of Republicanism in New Hampshire is Rockefeller Republicanism. Don't think you're going to get anymore Bob Smith's (who actually left the party because he said it was too liberal) out of the state anymore.

They aren't at all taking over. Most of the folks that move from MA to NH do it because they are sick of liberals, they want very low taxes or they want to live a less expensive lifestyle. They are much more likely to be Republicans than Democrats. NH has moved socially liberal over the years because all of the groups in NH tend to be moving socially liberal. But heck, NH has been elected pro-choice Republicans to Congress for a long time so that's nothing new or strange in NH.

I understand someone told you something wrong at some point about liberals moving from MA to NH or something. It's actually people from other states that tend to be more Democratic that are moving to NH. But even many of those Democrats tend to be against a state income and state sales tax. In fact, those are the positions of the Democratic Party leadership in NH. Most of the Mass folks moving up are good people. Anyway, people moving to NH has been at a 50 year low for a couple years now and that trend is expected to continue for at least a couple more years.

In Maine, you can factor in Independents. A Liberal Democrat and a Liberal Independent can split the vote with a Conservative Republican in such a way that the Conservative Republican wins. LePage is Governor, he's a Conservative.

That video is hilarious but I think it more accurately portrays the flight from CA to various states than MA and believe me they're a bigger problem for us in places like Texas and Alaska.

Keith said NH population growth is either stagnant or declining which is interesting because I would have thought more poeple in MA would be fleeing considering you can be a 30-40 min drive away from Boston and have no income tax ?? I dont get it. Maybe people are just so attached to MA perhaps fanatically so and brainwashed?

Kind of like how the people in North Korea weep for their leaders and turn out and goosestep at the square.

It's because, frankly, Massachusetts is a better place to live than New Hampshire (just my personal opinion). New Hampshire is a little bit crunchy and there aren't very many population centers, even Manchester isn't that big of a city. For many people, they won't give up a fairly comfortable living situation just to shave a few dollars off their taxes. Also, Massachusetts residents in large part are so culturally Democratic that they will vote 'D' in a zombie-like fashion into eternity, even though their issue-by-issue views may line them up with the right wing of the Republican Party.

What an embarrassment to the state.

He has been a Congressman since before most of the folks on this forum were even born. If anyone ever had job experience...

NH has the most turnover for Congressman of any state. In that way, it's pretty different from MA. NH also has the most turnover in the State Senate and the State House. It doesn't this without term limit laws.
