Interesting that these two both voted to debate gun control today.

If I was from North Carolina and a conservative or pro-2nd amendment then i'd be furious with my senators.

I had my hopes up for Burr when he joined Rand's filibuster threat, and then he turns around and does this. I am tired of emailing these 2.

Once again, the Dems show unity while the Rs backstab the base.

This is true of most states. If you are going to create threads for the states, please put them in the specific state forum.

Burr was actually a signatory to Rand's letter which makes his betrayal even worse:

Burr switches position, supports cloture to debate gun control bill

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) switched his position and voted to invoke cloture on the motion to debate the gun control bill Thursday.

Burr was among 14 GOP senators that vowed to filibuster the bipartisan gun bill.

“I was pleased Sen. Reid agreed to unlimited debate and amendments; that has always been my threshold for voting to allow legislation to be considered," Burr said. "Given that understanding, the issue can receive a full and open debate, amendments, and an amendment process with multiple opportunities to stop, alter, or kill the legislation.”
