I think you're confused lol. The senate got the 60 votes to proceed, nothing Rand could do. 60 votes were needed to break filibuster and unfortunately they got that.

Perhaps you were expecting a filibuster like the one where rand spoke for 13 hours? From what I understand that wasn't very likely. You need a bit of luck to pull that off because the majority party is usually guarding the floor to prevent that (based on what Rand said in an interview).

Its ok, it won't pass the house, the senate fight was to make a point, sure a 'victory' or filibuster would've been nice but I had a feeling Rand knew who was and wasn't going to screw up 2A
