I've noticed that in the past week, CNN has started shifting more to the right. First they were criticizing Obama for his remarks about how attractive that woman was, and it's continued to appear more balanced since then. In addition to this and the new changes for the new website layout, it seems like CNN's new management is shaking things up after they've realized their viewership and brand is diminishing.

In line with this new shift, it appears they gave Piers' staff the order to actually cover a concealed carry on campus group in the wake of a campus rampage. Piers' face looked kind of strange and awkward while doing this interview, like a dog looking at his master unsure whether he was supposed to bark or sit.

Perhaps they are doing this while Obama is a lame duck so others can point to how balanced they are, or perhaps they are legitimately worried they are losing all their viewership because of their cheerleading which has been painfully obvious for years.
