Sheila Jackson Lee to take on Ted Cruz on gun control

According to an April 3, 2013 piece in the Houston Chronicle, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has made a new enemy. Her name is Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas. The point of contention is gun control.

Cruz is part of a ground of conservative senators, which also include Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah as well as Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fl, who have promised to impede impending gun control legislation in the Senate by any means necessary, up to and including a filibuster. Jackson Lee, who is sponsoring her own piece of gun control legislation, the Child Gun Safety Act, is taking umbrage and is planning to publically tell Cruz and his fellow senators to back down.
