What, they don't know how to apply for food stamps? Or does their alternative source of income (alias lobbyist money) disqualify them?

Maybe they should go work for Rand Paul. He managed to give back a big chunk of his budget, so it's probable that he didn't have to cut anything.

Much like Nancy Pelosi, Wasserman-Schulz personifies everything wrong with America. She just opens her mouth and makes noise, with absolutely no concern about the accuracy of her random utterances. She's a big mouthed, pushy bully.

Hay guys, you are being a little hard here... I mean despite them earning at least twice of what average Americans make a year, lets face it - those DC area 5 star restaurants are expensive. When you are paying $80-120 a plate, any cut in your discretionary spending hurts.

It's expensive to live in the DC area, no doubt. I used to scrape by paycheck to paycheck on $70k a year living in a Northern VA suburb. No shit.

I'm sure most staffers come from loaded and connected families and are not "starving" though.

Hey Debbie, offer them some personal charity! You can afford it. Better than making the rest of us pay for dinner for some Harvard grad that drafts your Rights stealing legislation.

Americans have been tightening their own budgets and cutting back for years, and now it’s their elected members of Congress who are feeling the strain. That’s according to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), who suggested that staffers are starving thanks to sequester cuts.

Wasserman Schultz said, “We have to come together and promote initiatives that improve the quality of life in the House of Representatives.”

She went on to say, “We already have employees who are making a sacrifice to engage in public service as a career choice. Being priced out of being able to actually eat a high quality meal should not be one of the challenges that they face.”

Wasserman-Schultz is LYING again.

Wasserman-Schultz "represents" FLORIDA, where Rand trails Jeb & Marco, who both trail Hillary, by a lot.

It is not a SMEAR campaign when it is true, when the SMEARED provide the schmutz.

SEPARATING ONE FROM THE HERD werks purty good fer big cats. I seen it on teevee.

Write letters to editors, call in on talk radio, inundate social media with complaints about CHRONIC CONSEQUENCE-FREE CASUAL LYING by elected officials, singling out forked-tongue big-mouth Wasserman-Schultz.

If a wave of SCREW YOU rises up "outta nowhere" against Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, for the BODACIOUS AUDACITY of whining about Political Class earnings, I think we will NOT see other Congress Members flock to her defense. I think they will let her twist in the wind.

That leaves Obama to pronounce HELL OF A JOB, like Gee Dub with ol' Brownie.

And Obama's the one who lately executive-ordered RAISES for Congress.

I'm serious, too.

It is NOT illegal, so long as cake or whatever..."PERISHABLES"...are truly and purely whatever legal perishable they purport to be. For obvious reasons, POISONED and also ROTTEN are outta bounds.

Just THINK of all the fruitcakes that have been sent to CONVEY YULETIDE SPIRIT. Evidence in millions of pantries, year-round.

Sending cupcakes to Whiner & Liar Wasserman-Schultz constitutes SENDING A MESSAGE.

Nay-sayers may logically say IT'S NOT LIKE MAIL ADDRESSED TO THEM JUST LANDS IN THEIR OFFICES, and that is true.

But it lands SOMEWHERE. Once again, as ever. NUMBERS MATTER.

20 or 25 cupcakes get thrown in the trash. 2,500 gets more complicated. 25,000 cupcakes? It is difficult to imagine that SOMEONE wouldn't pull the ol' See Something/Say Something.

All these "anonymous sources" and people who speak "on condition of anonymity" maintain self-importance by furnishing "tips".

Generally speaking, a critical mass of people suddenly doing the same unusual thing garners Press.

Gamers Ship 400 Cupcakes to BioWare in Protest of Mass Effect 3

MIKE KAYATTA | 27 MARCH 2012 2:34 PM

It's commonly held that the pen is mightier than the sword, but a new group of fund-raising protesters seeks to prove that the cupcake is mightier than both.

In a maneuver that's as surprising as it is saccharine, one player unhappy with Mass Effect 3's controversial ending has organized and executed what I'm just going to call a "cupcakening." After raising $1000 on the BioWare forums, user LoganKey partnered with a local bakery to produce 400 cupcakes and ship them to BioWare's offices in Edmonton, Canada.

The natural next question is, of course, "why," and the answer is well ... interesting? Essentially, the cupcakes have been iced in three different colors, but all taste the same. See where this is going?...

I said cupcakes because they are smaller/cheaper than the cake of LET THEM EAT CAKE...also frillier and fussier (GIRLIER), with an extra-large dollop of super-sugary frosting on top (MORE FATTENING/LESS HEALTHY/INSULT TO INJURY).

[How does that make sense: the resurrection of the CUPCAKE, concurrent with the demise of HOSTESS?]

But I also said cupcakes in THIS spirit:

The BCS Formula: cupcakes and home fields

...“There was a stat from Sporting News last year that said 23 percent of the games SEC teams played were against I-AA opponents and that Big Ten teams played 21 percent of their games against I-AA schools. There is clearly a way to maximize your chances to make it to the BCS title game and that’s to play a bunch of cupcakes.”...
