If anyone has not heard of Beppe Grillo, He started a political movement in Italy that is similair to the ron paul movement here

I don't agree with everything he says, but he seems to understand the evils of central banking. He has a lot of charisma too. Also his movement has got 11% of the italian government.

Tell me what you guys think. I am in the process of getting my Italian passport. It seems like Italy is going through the hard times now but are electing people that are part of this movement.

It is looking nicer and nicer except for their stupid gun laws.

Grillo is essentially what would happen if George Carlin ran for Congress alongside 60 other people and they all won.

He basically exists to stir the pot. Let's hope he can get an in-out referendum on the euro at least.

________

I endorsed Emma Bonino's alliance of libertarians in the election, and also Veneto's and Sardinia's secessionists. Of the main four groups, I prefer Bersani. He seems less likely to be corrupt and less likely to bow the knee to the Pope.

I hope they leave the euro. Another reason to move there, :) I just believe that is his style, he is very passionate.

Wow that would be great to have some honesty in politics.

I like everything you say but Bersani is an old school socialist.

All the main Italian factions are shit. You got a Socialist/communist/green faction, a Centre Berlusconi Faction, Montis pro EU Statist faction, and then Beppe Grillo the populist with no clear ideals other than "We arent those guys"

While they do have I think 2 Libertarian parties and there is a movement there in Italy the Italian election system is so complicated complex and bureaucratic they didnt stand a chance with out huge funding.

Italy is a such a mess its on the brink of imploding.
